I have noticed that different planes have different looking gunsights in battle.  Here are the 3 that I have noticed gunsight.pngWhat do the differences mean?  Are these associated with accuracy, or alpha damage, type of guns, or something else?

I know the first one is the one for fighters, multiroles and heavy fighters. The second one could be for ground attack aircraft and the last one is for bombers when you press the left shift key to get the bombsight. The sights are standard and you could choose what type you wanted in the last iteration. But for simplistic terms, they decided to have standard ones where the is less confusion amongst the new players. Just remember to aim ahead of the target you are shooting at as there is no aim aid as in the last iteration. No there is nothing to do with the above, they are just standard. If you notice pieces come off the target, then you are aiming at the right place.

If you watch, the sights will rotate with the plane which can help orient a player to where their plane is if they know their plane's orientation before going into gun sight view.

I believe the sights are mostly oriented to plane class, but can also be affected by armament.

Keep your head on the swivel.

Maybe I needed to add more information.  These sight types apply ONLY to nonbombers.  What I have found is that the broken circle appears mainly with lower tier fighters but does appear with other plane types at least as high as tier 7.  The solid circle is more common and can appear with all nonbomber plane types.  The circle with the lines (at 12,3,6, and 9 o'clock) appears mainly with heavy fighters and ground attack planes, but do not appear necessarily with all HF and GAA. I have also seen it with a few regular light fighters at higher tiers.  The different sight types appear to be related to gun type, or alpha damage, or maybe accuracy.  Does anyone actually KNOW (as opposed to guessing or speculating) what these different symbols mean?  Thanks.

Not exactly. Maybe you could ask Priolia to find out form the dev team for you. Submit the question to the new support or PM ghost Prime and ask him to pass it on to the community specialist.
