The last few days it feels like my planes are not turning like they used to.  Aircraft I was turning the inside now I cant etc.  I feel like I am trying to fly in a bathtub! Anyone else notice this?

maybe you are having bad flights because you are facing against teams with players recently, which leads to unconciously doubting that plane isn't turning well because in reality, you are being outplayed.

In the last patch, the camera was adjusted. This may be the phenomenon you are referring to. Do you play with a mouse and keyboard, or a joystick?

HEREis a link to the patch note for 2.0.2

https://worldofwarplanes.com/game/#game-version

Here is the specific section of the patch notes that mentions these changes:

Camera and Mouse Control

Camera in Battle

We readjusted the camera to be more responsive and better convey the aircraft’s weight and dynamics

  • Improved the camera responsiveness for all aircraft performing correction maneuvers and aiming
  • Reduced the camera responsiveness for all aircraft performing excessive maneuvers
  • Camera settings now significantly differ between different aircraft types
  • Camera behavior differs between aircraft of the same type which have different specifications

Controls

  • Eliminated reticle jerks and unresponsiveness when firing and tracking a target -- reticle now moves more smoothly and better conveys the aircraft’s weight
  • Changed control settings for the ‘Mouse’ control scheme. Now when slowly descending, heavy aircraft do not use roll, but only pitch to change the flight direction. This makes attack aircraft and bombers steadier in flight. Lighter aircraft continue to use roll when descending. However, when slowly changing the flight direction, they are also steadier now
  • Reduced the rate of level-off in relation to the horizon for fighters and multirole fighters by 25%
  • Removed the default key bindings for pitch ("Pitch Down" and "Pitch Up") and yaw ("Yaw Left" and "Yaw Right") -- you're free to assign these actions at will

In addition to the other suggestions, you may simply be facing players with greater crew skills (unless you also have both turn boosting skills + associated equipment) and they may be using maneuvering consumables if they realize they need an advantage to beat a similar type in a turn fight.

It is also possible that you're simply experiencing worse ping.

I got my ping increased from 250 to 350 yesterday when I was attacking a GA from higher altitude, and then my corsair failed to pull up quick enough before crashing. The corsair turns just fine, it's just because the response comes slower due to the suddenly increased ping.

Hmmm I do not like the change. I use mouse and keyboard controls.

Weil these changes make the heavy fighters a miserable plane to fly. My ME 110C used to be very agile, now it is a bathtub.   THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS i HATE ABOUT WARGAMING,  They are constantly changing the way tanks and plane work.  Nerfing in the name of making the game better or game balance.  This is just another example of taking my favorite vehicle and making it a trash piece of junk in my inventory.

PLEASE GO BACK it had a much better feel for air combat.

They didn't change the planes, the changed the way the camera behaves. My planes, all classes, feel the same and I barely noticed the different camera feel after a few matches.

Quit psych'ing yourselves out.

Oh, and to refresh the OP, his original complaint was:  "Aircraft I was turning the inside now I cant."

Now he's saying his favorite plane, the Bf 110C, is no longer fast and agile.  I have one. Its turn stats and speed haven't changed. Also, Bf110 has (and had, prior to the camera weight change) worst in tier maneuvering for all 3 variants and the only thing it could out-turn were GA and bombers.  I'm pretty sure it still can.

As for "fast", the C variant was always slower than its tech tree counterpart.

So...quit psych'ing yourself out, it turns just as poorly and flies as slow as it did before.

Edit:  The B model still works just fine.  I haven't flown her in about 4 years and she worked just as well as ever.

Spoiler

Quit psych'ing yourself out.  The C has always been slower, they handle about the same.  I even loaded up bombs to better simulate the C.  I rarely fly the C because I don't care for the reduced speed and the bigger, single gun.

Jeez, Mercsn...   that spoiler!     gj, brother man!

not me, but other members on your various teams in the past have complained behind your back that you leave behind precious few enemies for them to shoot at

not me, but other members have had to resort to spawn-camping just to get a couple of good hits in before... well, you know

Just back on those control/camera changes:

It took me a bit of adjusting to get back to feeling good & there are a few issues but generally I think it's overall been a great change :great:

Pros:

Planes feel a bit more responsive to small turns eg the Il-2 mod flicks in a bit of roll quickly to fairly small turns, helps make it feel less brick-like even though its not actually turning faster.

Camera feels cooler with stuff like breaks, sort of flicks round in a satisfactory way.

Mouse Barrel rolls! You could do them before but it was harder to pull off & resulted in a too tight barrel, pretty much restricted to a post-fight victory roll. Now I naturally roll into them/partial rolls in a bunch of different situations & it really feels amazingly cool :B

Cons:

Took me a while to get my aim in, especially with bigger cannon. Still struggle in certain offset angles.

Auto-aim seems more visible/more active (feels like it hurts my aim sometimes by overriding my predicted lead to shoot at current lead which is wrong by the time shells get there)

Had difficulty initially judging climb angle without mouse-looking round to the side (I don't use the extra HUD), often found myself going up at much higher than intended angle but I'm mostly sorted now.

While the camera feels cooler during breaks I seem to have a harder time acquiring/keeping track of enemy during the break than before.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

pft. I didn't even break 14k!  Although, I was happy with the results since I hadn't flown it for 4 years and truly loved that plane back when.

I just wanted to show that 110 wasn't trash to underscore my point that the OP is psych'ing himself out.
