I am a returning player, coming back since just after the game went live. 2.0 has me interested enough that I want to drop some money. The tier 5 A6 Zero and the Tier 8 German multirole look like good investments, plus the 3000 gold package, That's about $65.00.

But WarGaming is in Russia, so I cant use any of the credit cards in my pocket. The  Visa gift card from work is also "USA only". I went to the local Game Stop and Best Buy to buy some WarGaming cards, but all they have is WoT cards. (Didn't there used to be generic WarGaming cards usable on all 3 games?) I set up a PayPal account, but get an error when it tries to do the final transaction. "Payment error. Please try again by selecting from the currently available payment methods." Then PayPal is not listed as an option.

WarGaming, I have a few dollars to spend on myself for the holidays, but can't seem to do business with you. And, I'll surely burn through it all in a month or so to someone else.

Thought you might want to know.

For reference I'm not new to your games. I have about 15,000 matches in Tanks and just under 6700 in Ships, with a few hundred dollars spent over the years.

I'd say 1st research the free planes you can get with codes and check your old email, there is a lot out there

next, buy some cheap gold and get your premium account for a month and play it... see what trips your trigger and figure out a strategy ...

if you blow your money fast you'll regret it... maybe... lol

BTW... Paypal is the safest, work on that with a limited bank account...

Good luck and Happy New Year

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Don’t know if it is still working but this code should get you a premium T5 Spitfire and a T2 German plane. Good luck!

Holy crap, thanks for that. I would have been pissed if I had missed a free tier 5 Spitfire. My XP-77 at tier 5 is very lackluster and hard to have the "exceptional" matches in. But I would still like my Zero and gold purchase. Is WarGaming having corporate disputes with PayPal? Since I can't find WarPlanes game cards around me, Paypal is my best option.

You can also buy gift cards for most places (Subway, Target) and use them. Check out all the payment options

Link a credit card to paypal. Call said CC issuer (nbr on back of card), tell them you will be making an international online purchase through PayPal and you'd like them to unblock both international and paypal transactions.

Make premium shop purchase via PayPal.

The a6m5 30mm sucks unless you're really good at aiming plane guns that arc like tank guns  and good at trigger control as they overheat fast.

Google mmobomb wowp code, their tie in may still be active.

The tech tree is now very un-grindy. Play it some before you spend cash. Lookup my content and browse for threads where I've tried to explain the game mode objectives to other new or returning players.

yep, almost too un-grindy right now...

new folks shooting up right through the tiers... the tiers that should be teaching them how to win a battle

before they get smarter, they end up in mid tier battles alongside the rest of us, yoloing off into the meat grinder

your posts should be required reading for all new pilots, brother!

Well, full disclosure:  I was recently informed that I'm not very good at this game.  Then again, if you can't play, coach. Amirite?

Back on topic, what Zhoyzu said. The santa boxes are paying out A LOT of free xp, if there is something(s) you totally want to skip in the tech tree (looking at you, bf109z) they are a good value. They also are giving gold, in amounts that seem generous for cost, especially with the discounted packs. And also bits of premium time and even planes from the DE bombers (including tier 3 premium heavy fighter) and the UK hurricane line are all potentially inside a santa box (if you want the hurricanes or DE bombers before they officially release to the tech tree).

If you like the free Spitfire and can handle the new game mode, the DE sptifire DB6 premium (Spitfire with higher altitude cap) is what I'd recommend. The only downside is it won't train your UK Spitfire crews.  I'm not sure if that one was recently removed from the ingame gold shop,  but it is still available in the premium shop.

Yeah they along with some others (cvs, dollar general) are openbucks gift cards.  Usually I can buy whatever but rarely for whatever reason they don't allow that type of card for said tank/plane.  I can buy those at walmart and not have to use my debit card over the Web any more than I have to.

GhostPrime, stop taking guesses, it's unbecoming!

ALL payments to WG are processed through a bank on the island of Cyprus, which happens to be a well known money laundering haven.  Therefore many banks (banks, CC companies, etc) block that location specifically.  Also, most US banks will block any overseas transaction automatically via anti-fraud algorithms unless the bank or their fraud prevention contractor are contacted in advance.  WG even advises on the website to contact your financial institution and ask them to allow overseas transactions.

And, now you know...the rest of the story.

:great:

You can also buy Karma Koin cards which WG takes and have used in the past without any problems. If there is a balance on one card, you can also transfer it to another card.
