mission 3, of the ME 109 TL is kill three aircraft in one sortie with rockets and win the battle.  So I need some advise.  

 

I am thinking P47N, F4U-4, or P38J all upgraded to full, and bomber flights as my best bet of getting three aircraft kills in one sortie.  

 

Anyone else have have any other ideas?

P-47N vs bomber flights.  Toss on an ordinance sight?

Grab BV210, spec for rockets, and go ham with R4M...oh wait, out of reach and too unreliable...

 

P-47N (10 HVARs) vs bomber flights are your best bet. Pop an ordnance sight and respec your pilot to have both rocket and demo expert skills. Use Corsairs and heavy fighter as spare magazines if you happen to get maps with airbase and you have them. Soften the bombers with some gunfire for the best effect.

I don't have but one jet yet, it's an il40.  Didn't think about their ordinance sight, but good idea.  Is it worth spacing the pilot skill for that one that improves chance to hit aircraft with rockets?

I don't really know exactly what it is...either proximity fuze or just improved homing. But it doesn't hurt to have when you are out for planes.

Bomber flights or Ground Attack planes.  Work them down with your guns till they have about 25% HP left. then rocket them.

GAA don't fly straight as much as bomber [flights] do though.

That's why you work them down with guns.  You don't always get bombers wings on every map so you have to make due sometimes with GA or regular bombers.

 

FYI the 3rd mission is bugged in a good way.  Mission states 3 rocket kills, in a single sortie, and win the match.  I got 2 kills, lost the match, in the next match I got 1 kill and won, it gave me the plane.

R4M are nerfed to ground, any other rockets will work fine

Still pulverizes fighters...crap against anything bigger. Apparently WG's planning to make it work for bombers...

omg, is that possible to do?   

 

can i remove some dumb skills that sounded good at the time, and replace them with smarter skills?

 

that would help fix several dumb mistakes...    how do i do that?

There is a button you can press to retrain the pilot, but it will cost you credits.

ALWAYS pick the credits option. There is no point in using gold to do so...unless you are feeling a bit too rich...

 

FYI, said button is towards the lower-right of the skill picking screen.
