Just had a game in my Invader where the bombs would not replenish. They were loaded and ready as I was on my way to a base but it was taken when I was about half way there so I diverted and intercepted a bomber flight, shooting all of them down. After that I had no bombs, I didn't drop them so I have no idea what happened to them and they never reloaded for the rest of the game. Perhaps my bombing privileges were revoked by the bombers union for killing other members??

 

 Anyone else had this happen? Is there something I pressed I shouldn't have?

I had same issue in Ju 88 A. Bombs would not replenish. I dropped first load and after that bombs would not replenish. The rest of game I was just flying around and trying to shoot some planes with tail gunner.

Had the same issue in RB-17, it happened after I replenished several loads of bombs, making me completely useless

for the rest of the battle.

Let's face it: Bombers are cursed at the moment.

 

Many people have been trying to land one, and have had all their loot crates cursed with stupid fireworks and sparklers and 20,000 credits. How WG could think that these are acceptable prizes for all the grinding people are doing just to get these stupid things and the sacrifices they have to make to actually play the poorly timed, very-short-amount-of time-per-day-event is beyond me.

 

Worse than that, those who both ARE lucky enough to get a opportunity to get a bomber and AREN'T lucky enough to GET THE BOMBER STRAIGHT UP are screwed if they don't have the A-26B or the RB-17, which is EXTREMELY UNFORTUNATE as many were banking on this event to score them their first bomber.

 

Worst of all, those who ARE lucky enough to get a bomber straight up often find the bomber unplayable thanks to this new bug, as you guys have mentioned.

 

WG, what an awesome event!(/sarcasm)

 

What a wonderful way to get a free plane around Christmas time: banging your head against ruthless RNG, luck-of-the-draw lootboxes and dealing with piss-poor, worth-less-than-a-dollar-in-total loot until you finally get acceptable, worthwhile loot!

 

NOT!

 

This event has been a complete and utter disaster. It's buggier than a malaria swamp, more rigged than an Casino run by the mafia, and promotes gambling(that "just one more" feeling, only to get NOTHING for your effort) almost as much as maniacal money-launder Electronic Arts.

I have a bug report thread initiated for this exact problem on the Ju 88A which then spread to the A26.

I took some courses of action and the bombers work now.  Of course, I'm watching for repeat occurrences still.  Feel free to add in what's been going on and what you've tried to fix it.  I'm kind of iffy on this being caused client side because the idea of client side info determining how we reload bombs seems... open to exploitation.

Not had a problem with bombers not reloading.

I have not had it happen since and that was the only time so far so crossed fingers. Luckily being in the Invader I had other things I could do other than drop bombs.

that's a real problem for a bomber...     just like when your team caps all the caps    "oh crap, what do i do now?"

 

this is my first week going all ham using bombers, it's more fun than i thought it would be!

 

i'm always surprised when i run out of bombs, but they've reloaded every time

Not had this problem in WoWp with bombers, but I've had it in WoWs with torpedoes and DDs. Could be a server issue.

In a GAA and all caps are taken, hope for a Airbase in the map, crash before squall line and respawn as a fighter, or go all rambo on enemy GAAs.

WG seems to have brought the bomb reload timer for bombers in line with GAs.  I've not had any reload bugs just plenty of idle time waiting for the bombs to reload.

I encountered this bug last night in my RB-17; I'd just died and respawned, was heading to a cap when I saw my bombs weren't loaded.

Yup. Having gotten my first Bomber(Do 17Z), I have officially experienced this bug first-hand. I wonder if WG will do something about it? It seems like such a wide spread issue.

Been playing bombers for almost a month now with no problems; however, just experienced this exact issue with a JU88A.

 For me, it seems like I'm doomed to have it happen at least once to every bomber I ever play, as it happened both to my Do 17 Z(which I still own) and, just last night, it occurred in my new JU-88A.

Yeah, had this happen, again. TO be honest it happens more often than not but only on my true bombers, no issues with multirole or heavy fighters...

i've never once seen it, and i fly bombers every session

A-26.

Haven't flown it much, just over a dozen times so far and I had that issue once already.

So 7% failure rate?

Not bad, but if it wasn't for the fact that it was an A-26 it would have effectively rendered it useless.

 

I want alternate loadouts for that A-26.

Like maybe the 4 twin .50 gun pods and the 8 .50 nose, I feel the need for a 12 .50 attack plane.
