I was super stoked about the event but of course Wargaming set it at East Coast time. If you have a normal job and work till 1630 or 1730 PST you can never make these stupid events. Its like Wargaming hates people who work and live on the West Coast. Get a clue and post when the events start and make it so its at least 1800hrs PST/2100hrs EST. Super fail wargaming. SUPER FAIL!

I think it would be more friendly if they could just hold the confrontation once per 12 or 8 hours instead of 24, the event being 7am-10am here in GMT+8 is not friendly at all.

WG needs to face the fact that given the player base of WOWP, there will be players from outside the US participating (or, failing to participate) in such events.

We already have few enough players, we don't need anywhere fewer.

BTW it's 9am to 12am for those living in Guam, how are these guys supposed to participate?

Well.. it starts at 3pm() pst tmrw so you got time to get home. For the next two weeks I guess I'm just gonna say it's my time of the month and take off few hrs early to beat the pm traffic. Also it's great that it lasts only 3 hrs, forget about relaxing after some work, grabbing a few brewskis with the boys or having dinner with the fam

that was a typo in the web page. The event starts at 6:00 eastern, which is 3:00 Pacific, and ends at 6:00 Pacific. I work til 5. That's a super small window

Which to the Op's point WG, this is something you do in ships and tanks too. You set the time early and screw the west coast.

Aye, I'm looking at the in game timer not the web page... it says 18 hrs to start and it's 9pm pst.. so yeah.. starts at 3pm  and lasts 3hrs.. got 3 hrs to get my grind on to get more albion loot boxes so I can get more sparkles..

Still. weird asf. That clash of elements event they had in wows lasted 3 weeks and was open 24/7 so people can earn points whenever they could log in.. ah wg.. you so silly, yeah yeah, I know it's different teams..tanks/ships/planes

Forget the West Coast, how does 6pm to 9pm make sense on the East Coast?  Most people get home from work and eat dinner from 5pm to 7pm.  That is why prime time TV starts at 8pm and runs to 11pm.

The time for WG events should be 9pm to 1am which equates to 6pm to 10pm on the West Coast.  That is when WOT's had Ranked Battles.

WG is INCOMPENTENT.

Maybe because WG's target audience are unemployed school kids.

The event starts while I'm at work, you know cause like a lot of folks I work for a living and the folks I need to interact with don't take kindly to not being able to get a hold of you during WORK hours.

This means I get home about an hour after the event ends.

So this entire event is [edited]for me.

DICTA BOELCKE for WoWP
    1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
    2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
    3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
    4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
    5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
    6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
    7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
    8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent

You have to look at it from WG's perspective, it's actually an EPIC WIN.

If you can't attend you have to buy the (aptly named, but for who?) LOOT Crates. That's buy- as in $ BUY, an EPIC WG WIN.:coin:

I just heard from one of the developers that the timing of the event was selected based on the peak levels of players. Apparently there are more players online from 6 - 9pm ET, than there are during what would assume to be prime time hours of 9 - 11pm ET.

They did mention the possibility of multiple event times for future events, but it looks like this one is locked into its current time slot.  I remember this happened in one of the last ones as well, and I believe it was adjusted. We'll see how it plays out.

I think it was moved back one hour and extended by one hour.

Me? It's the same time as Eastern for me...only on AM and no DST...and I still feel sleeeeeeepy.............:sceptic:

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...

The current timer on the event says 4hrs 30min until start and it is about 1330 EST.  So it looks like it is set for another 1800 start.  Unfortunately I'll miss the whole thing tonight due to travel.

Yeah me too, not travel... but family stuff pretty much every night till around 8pm or so.  I really dont get how there are more people on during the day, or why the patch notes dont match the in-game start times.

I was going to create a post in the forum, and then thought "hey, why not search for the topic first"; yep I am chiming in as well to the misery of the time of start and end for the event. Sadly my participation for the event is now limited to only the weekends as I am unable to escape from the office to participate in the "Skies of Albion" event.

My suggestion for Wargaming/WoWP is expanding the window of play availability. Sure start the event at 6pm EST (3pm PST); but have the event end for the day at 1am EST (10pm PST) I would definitely be able to participate more in the event.
