The revolver 30mm needs rebalancing for the following reasons:

1. everything flies faster in t9-10, and that coupled with the bad

trajectory & shell velocity makes it even harder for 30mm to hit;

2. The 30mm still overheats very quickly, and the damage has not

changed much. If revolver 20mm has the advantage of accuracy and

good shell velocity, then revolver 30mm must have something in order

to compensate(explosiveness & higher DPM);

3. Both Britsh(ADEN) and German (MG213(30)) worked fine in 1.9 thanks

to the aiming reticles, but they are very esoteric to use in 2.0 as aiming of

large calibres become particularly difficult: you need to get close enough and,

take a huge lead in order to hit.

4. 30mm VS 20mm has been a constant competition, and different players will

choose different calibres based on his/her personal favor. 30mm at least, needs

to be as strong as 20mm to be qualified for the choice. Historically the 30mm has

almost equal fire rate as 20mm revolver cannon.

Personally I would suggest double the fire rate of revolver 30mm: revolver 30mm does

shoot faster than traditional 20mm such as HS. 404, but can be a bit slower than revolver

20mm. The german tier 10 ground attacker would also rely on its 4 nose-mounted 30mm

to do effective damage to ground targets. The german and british t10 heavy, could utilize the

massive explosiveness of their 30mm and Swift could be a terror for other light fighters attempting

to head on.

Brilliant ideas. I'd suggest learning to aim for once in your life though. actually hitting the target helps

In real world 2-3 30mm shells would blow away a modern fighter, and given the

ROF it ensures once it hits, the enemy must have received more than 5 hits.

While some fighters might be capable of taking several 20mm, no fighters can

survive critical hits from 30mm. There is a reason why EU countries prefer the 30mm.
