I installed the game a few years ago and received the Hawk III as a holiday reward. Now I'm returning to play again and find that the Chinese line is completely empty, save a couple of premiums.

Is there any reason to keep the Hawk III? I know some say never sell a premium, but with the free tier 5 premiums they've given away recently, I just can't see keeping a low tier premium for an empty line. The credits & hangar slot seem more valuable.

The popup claims I won't be able to buy it again if I sell it, so I'm just wondering if I'm overlooking something, like the Chinese line being filled out soon. Any advice is appreciated.

There are T1-4, T5-7, and T8-10 mission segments so you might find it useful to keep to do the T1-4 parts of missions.

it's not hurting anything, keep it.  You won't get much money for it either, another reason to keep it.

suggest keeping it, a pretty good plane. premiums are not worth selling for the hanger spot, they often get buffed, nurfed so its good to keep them as protection from the whims of the nerf bat.

It's a Curtis Hawk, one of the iconic planes in the game. Lit if history in this plane

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll go ahead and keep it.

Hopefully a sale on hangar slots comes along soon, as that was the main reason I wanted to sell it. I'm getting into tiers 4 & 5 now and I've found a few that I think are worth keeping, and just as in WoT & WoWS, I like to keep at least one of each tier. I'm kind of a tightwad with my gold, too, so a sale would help.

Personally I've been considering selling it too.

It turns fine but the MGs have really low dps, makes it super frustrating having to bang away forever to kill stuff.

The guns are not that bad at that tier, and universal ammo at that tier isn't to expensive, especially with the increased credits it gets as a premium.

 Yeah they are.

Its the worst T2 dps by miles.

Hawk III has 2* 17 = 34dps

Fw 56, He 51 & Ar 68 have 2* 23 = 46dps

I-15 has 4* 15 = 60dps

P-28, P-26 & F2F have 17 + 28 = 45dps

Ki-10 & A4N have 2* 21 = 42dps

Bulldog & Demon have 2* 21 = 42dps

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

I've been surprised the few times I've played the Hawk II, with the same guns, that the plane has never suffered from some kind of spontaneous self-combustion damage by having the guns so hot for so long during a match.

In one respect the planes are good training aircraft for new players - it gets them used to firing bursts from low RoF armament while dreading the ''clunk clunk'' overheat sound right from the lowest tiers.

They had one during their birthday time/thanksgiving.  keep an eye out into the new year for a sale that might pop up.  Plus as mentioned, look in the missions tab or on the launcher, if you play on the certain day, you get a hangar slot.

In the olden days when low tiers were populated by humans it was fun to take an odd low tier premium out to wreck newbies. Wrecking bots is...less satisfying.  I hate to get rid of things, but I've also been thinking hard about clearing out some lowbies.  They don't earn any credits or XP relative to what a tier V+ does.

I'd still say hold it til you absolutely need the slot, b/c...collectors value or whatever.

Well the Hawk will be coming to the shop in 2 days, so if you sell it you can get it back if you want it badly
