I feel really dirty after my last win. The top player on the other team, had an outstanding game. He had 19k combat points, hero of the sky. 19 kills. 

 

Me, top on my team, had 5 kills, two sectors captured, 7k points. The two sectors I helped capture were command centers. The garrison in the middle was a real meat grinder. Once the CCs were secure I would escort the bomber flights in, and then dive in ahead of them and fire rockets at ground targets (flying a P38F)  then hit the deck and head for a CC invariably with a fighter on my tail. Once I hit the CC I had all the air defense and AA on my side - everyone else was in the furball over the garrison.

 

Rinse and repeat. In the end I was the last man standing, and just waited it out. I guess after playing ships, playing the objective is second nature, and that's how you win. 

 

But big salute to the red player. He was good.

But but BnZ is useless, 2.0 sux because its only TnB :popcorn:

To be fair, the other guy flew a P-40 so I guess it shows what scrubs we are

How do you think the meta will evolve outside of GA/FGHT?
How do you think they can update MR and HF/BnZ to be relevant?

I think the meta will change a lot when bomber lines are released. HF will come into there own, because they have the guns, and mobility at altitude to counter bombers.

 

Although I find HF relevant today because they can play the objective so well. I can't tell you how many times I have been in my GA and see a sector almost capped or decapped, and can't get there fast enough although in my HF I can pop over there and take out the one ground target needed. That fighters can't deal with as they can't take out an armored target. This is especially true in games with missiles as they will not turn a cap without action by a player (unlike bombers). HF have more speed and boost and can cover the map better.

 

I destroyed 5 ground targets and capped 5 sectors in one game in my Bf 110E. I get more combat points in my fighters, but more wins in my heavy fighters. 

 

I have not found out what MR do that isn't done better by something else.

The Focke Wulf line make fine GAA killers and low- to mid-altitude hit and run. They're small, nimble and fast enough in a straight line that you don't fear taking them low. And they have firepower equal and surpassing heavy fighters.

 

Just watch out for Corsairs. Those things will eat you for breakfast

Thanks for the in-depth response!

 

I'm finding the J7W1 underwhelming to be honest. On top of this I was planning to push up Germans HF and FW190 lines. But not much point at the moment.

Found the most effective way to run the J7 is as a GA and escorting other GAs... It does GA poorly but less poorly than trying to contest caps against TnB or even BnZ.
Just wish it's bombs had a lower cool down.

Might stick with Ki line for now and give German or Soviet GA a whirl. My previous experience with premium IL-2 wasn't promising however.

Maybe I'm only good with TnB :-(

J7W1...with top 3cm down planes in few bursts. Great at killing GA too with the massive damage output of four 30mms and lower stall speed than other planes that carry comparable arms letting it stay at low speed and take accurate shots. 2 bombs are only for supplements.



WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...

Dude it's okay man... That guy shouldn't get too salty with the loss. He's probably going to make about as much as you, if not more :D

I find their accuracy far to questionable to be reliable...
