The big problem with the map i see, is that it's made for a 2D game. Works great in tanks and ships. But Wowp is a 3d game. Thus, the map is only good in a 2d format. What i would like to see change, is adding a third dimension. It would be very helpful to see if the plane on the map is above or below you.

Something as simple as.a "-" if they are below, and a "+" above. If they are WAY below it could show a "--" and way above a "++". This would save some of us players from looking all over the place , and just look up or down.

I wish it was like before a solid arrow meant plane below and a hollow arrow meant plane above. It is really very confusing now.

Doesn't the arrow point in the direction of the plane currently?  My RMB is set to hold camera...I just need to look that way.

Alternate HUD for the win.  Shows a clockface diagram of where planes are.  Also, some of this should be intuitive after a while.

See a bomber on the map, it's up high or it's dead.

Heavy fighters?  Look level first, then up, then down.

Fighters, just assume they're above you if they're behind you.

This only works on bombers. Everything else besides attack aircraft and be anywhere. Don't be so naive.

Easy there with the passive aggressiveness.

He's not wrong with what he's saying, either.

Besides, we can just look around our craft, no?

"Oh we don't need to talk about that do we...? Right?"

That takes time, and you can't fly and look around at the same time unless you're ambidextrous with a joystick. ;)

I'd also like the old arrow indicators back. Some times I get a mini heart attack when a heavy shows up on radar, but when I check he's 3k meters above me :amazed:
This is my IL-2 (t). There are many like it, but this one is mine. :child:

You must be on the deck a lot, 3km below a HF is no place to be when he decides you're a low energy target.

I play GAAs pretty much exclusively (my current record for steady low altitude flight is 4 meters above the ground), so at that distance I'm quite sure he can't see me. However, some sort of indication of that in the minimap would make my life a lot easier

Called the "free look" keybind.

Even that's borked up.

Now the mouse becomes inverted when using the key when before it didn't.

Exactly. Trying to look around to fight this plane on radar but not on visual, and you look forward just in time to see that mountain sneak up on you...

For example, this last game I just had. Saw a fighter in out base. Dove down low in my HF. Couldn't find him anywhere.

Oh look, he's at 10k feet in the air....That was a nice waste of time.
