Okay, Ju 88 P.  This is the first plane I've outright skipped the rest of it's grind with free XP(used about 40k to finish it.)  Holy crap it's the worst GA I've flown so far, no ordnance and the 37mm/50mm just don't do enough damage to contest caps reliably.  I'd rather fly the Eule again and I didn't like that one either.

Also decided I don't really like the Me 410.  The guns are great and all, but when I zoom out of a fight too many enemies at this tier are fast enough to keep up with me long enough to drain a good chunk of my HP.  Not to mention it's really difficult to carry full bot teams with this since you can't kill a bunch of enemies in succession fast enough.

Eh, it's alright. Better than the 87G. It works best sneaking caps on soft targets like Airfields and Garrisons. It cannot contest directly but you can hunt enemy GAAs instead. I grew bored of it after a while but I didn't loathe it as I did the 87G

410's ok. I don't mind it but it isn't spectacular unless there are bombers on the field. Rear guns are actually useful.

The 265 and 329 would be junk at ground pounding compared to its Ilyushin contemporaries...you best brace yourself for it and think again whether you have wasted 40k FEXP that could have gone to a top-end weapon upgrade to alleviate some pain in high tier...

I went up the GAA line through skipping in from 410 myself...the 265 and 329 weren't too bad in 1.9...the 1099B-2 is where you want to be, the same style unicorn Ju 88 gun is very effective on it with 4 bombs supplement...

German planes are so very screwed by Conquest...except for maybe the Blohm und Voss multirole toting revolvers since tier 8, the only plane thus far beside the Pancake and NC 1070 to have that honor...

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

I love the 265, if only because it can double as a point defense fighter - its got the hitpoints and acceleration to make it a terror of other Ground Attackers and Multiroles. Its actual ground attack capacity is only slightly higher than the Dora owing to its double 500lb bombs compared to the single 500lb and twin Nbwf Rockets of the Dora.

I'm just unsure if I should honor this plane with a gold paintjob or reserve that for the higher tiers as I doubt I'll be getting a Winged Legend award in this anytime soon

40k is hardly much a waste for me when I'm sitting on half a million mostly left-over from tanks.

Funny about the 410, not an hour after I posted that, I had a smashing game in it, with Winged Legend, McGuire, McCampbell and Kohzedub medals.

Then I turned right around and smashed through that with my new Reppu in a 22k CP game with Winged Legend, Akamatsu, Kohzedub and Ace medals.  Feeling quite high and mighty right now, lol.

I just unlocked the Zwilling and the quad Mk108s and I don't know if its because the guns are spread out along its length or something, but man that thing is hard to hit with. It's not as horrible as its been made out to be but I've had shots completely miss bomber flights and head on heavies.

The Ju 88 P is all about using your range and controlling your weapon heat and airspeed. With some practice it can cap an uncontested Mining Facility in four passes. It's also quite a beast at clearing soft targets and finishing off weakened ones, and it can one-shot fighters with that 50. My one gripe is that the tailgun is not enough defense at that tier, but I feel the same with the IL-2 (t)

This is my IL-2 (t). There are many like it, but this one is mine. :child:

So I loved the hell out of the A7M Reppu.  And now I'm on the J7W1 Shinden, it was a bit rough at first but I'm starting to love this one too.

I'm on the cusp of getting the tier 7 in several lines(P-47N, Fw 190 D, Bf 109 Z, Me 265) but now I just need to grind the credits to afford all of them.

While I liked the Me 265, I ended up keeping the Me 329 instead. I got tired of the unreplaceable 20s and wanted something with a bit more punch. Thankfully the quad 30s delivered :playing:

i don't really fly GA, but i love the Eule so much!    i make a point to fly it every day... T4 is a relatively good tier for GA survival

is there a german speaker who can tell me if it's pronounced Yool, or is it Yoolee?

i googled it...  it means Owl, or possibly Horned Owl, but no help in pronunciation

My biggest problem with the Eule is getting bombkills with it's small bombs is really tricky with the current altitude indicator. I'd use the tailgun more, but it doesn't really have enough punch or range to down a healthy fighter on time :sceptic:

Picked up the J4M Senden.  First premium I actually put money towards getting, and it's a solid purchase.

Much more practical than J8M at nearly half the price...I think it got better under the new regime...

But the J8M is HILARIOUS. Terrible, yes, but hilarious. I've won one out of maybe 12 battles. But I was laughing 11 out of those 12 games. Only one game I got ticked off by an AI Pancake who had a hardon for me the entire [edited]match

it's probably Yool, which would sound similar to the English word Owl

naturally i didn't think about that when i originally posted this

let's go with "Yool" from now on, right or wrong...
