As said in post #35, it is updated for the latest patch. Alas, it works.

Here's a tip.  AFTER installing the mod. Go into the localization/text/LC_MESSAGES folder and delete all the .mo files EXCEPT the one with _pilots.mo in the name. chinesee_pilots.mo. france_pilots.mo, gb_pilots.mo, germany_pilots.mo, japanese_pilots.mo, usa_pilots.mo, ussr_pilots.mo.  Next update, you'll continue to see the bots, without disrupting other messages and probably not need an update, unless WG adds more bot names, which is highly unlikely..

 

Great mod by the way...

Yeah, that is what I originally did when I started making it but the game kept crashing without all the other files present (like in WoT, where you also needed all of them or the game messed up) so I just kept on repacking with all the files so not have people crash out, better safe than sorry, and I always update asap on patch day. Perhaps they changed the dependencies in the client, I can look in to that once more and see if there's no need or if it affects stability. Until I am satisfied however I'll keep packaging it like current to for safety.

Been using it that way for a couple of releases.  There is also one on the RU forums that shows them after the battle, but it only uses the pilot files.  So that's why I tried it. Anyway, not issues and I use it on NA, EU, and RU servers and on my laptop. But your right, better safe than sorry.

I find it sad that someone would need this mod. There is only 12 players on each side not hard to know who the players are. Guess I'm not a blonde bang punk kid LOL. GET A GRIP

because it's true, he has every right to feel sad that others need to use it

 

many expert pilots do not need it, but because i'm no expert pilot, it defo helps me fly smarter

I'm sad because I got to play v 1.4-1.9 and I can't anymore...

that make me sad


if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

It should be updated for 2.0.5.0, but they have changed the structure of the client localization files to include 26 variations and since three games updated today and I got mods for all of them I have no time to test this release at this very moment. If anyone could report back if it works I would be a happy puppy.

Have you checked if this works in the 2.0.5.5 folder?

 

Someone had noticed that my mods will not work unless its in the 2.0.5.0 folder after the update because the Paths.xml is still showing:
<Path>res_mods/2.0.5.0</Path>
as the look up path for mods.  This person also had reinstalled the game so that is the paths.xml that it is pulling. After updating the game my paths.xml is also showing 2.0.5.0.

Because I do not delete my old 2.0.5.0 folder till I am sure that 2.0.5.5 is set the game is still reading from my 2.0.5.0 folder then.

WoW, they updated the mod folder and not the path. Then files need to be transferred to the old 2.0.5.0 folder.

 

I'll make a note of it on the front page. Since the mod folder itself has changed I'll not repack, as it could (should) change any day.
