Hey all,

In wot and wows you can take a pilot from any aircraft of same type and nation and put it in a premium without retraining to get extra xp.

Does this work in wowp?

Sorry on phone typing is hard.

In fact, you can get anyone to pilot ANY premium plane of their respective nations with no penalty whatsoever; the type penalty no longer exists.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

People have always been split on this. Personally, I have dedicated pilots for each plane, regardless of tech or premium. I actually do the same in tanks, with very few exceptions. Maybe I am just lazy..

I have 16 planes that I play right after the other -- so I am with you on that.  If I were to grind 1 plane for an hour, then sure I'd swap out pilots.  But swapping out just for the 2x bonus is a bit much.

I may start doing it however just to squeeze whatever xp I can

The main difference is when you Retrain a pilot to a new plane (other than the Gold retrain) you can't use the Premium plane to train him back up to 100%.

But its always only 10% (10k) pilot XP that you need to get it back up to 100% if you do the 100k Silver retraining so its only a few decent battles even on non-premium planes.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

Its great to get insight into how others play this game, the different flavours of ocd.

Myself, I have 1 pilot for each nationality, researching only 1 line in each nation, to maximise training. I feel if I spread my flight time around too many pilots I am wasting my time. (I still play both WoT and WoWS)

In terms of planes I want, some historical or some are representative of each type in the middle tiers. EG: The only 8 I am going for is the ME 262 and in UK I stopped at Mosquito which is my favourite plane of WW2.

I also own and love the Mosquito, how do you deal with the lack of a rear-gunner though?

p.s.

Make sure to watch your tail, the Mosquito is fast, you may be able to out run the enemy too.

What Ghost said. I am trying to zoom and boom: Polish, power and air frame. Pilot: aerodynamics and engine power.

In reality: I get my butt handed to me in it all the time. But I will never, ever sell it.

Just realized I left my P-40 pilot at 99% after I sold the plane to finance the next plane... Ouch.  I could have built him up on premiums so when I do opt to rebuy the 40 he'd kick butt.
