So it's a less armed Yak-9 (100 less "fire power"), with a lower service ceiling (800 vs 1000), but the rest of the stats will "feel" the same.

The sooner you stop using WG's 'score' system for each aircraft attribute, the better off you'll be.

Fly me closer, I want to hit them with my sword!

Indeed, especially for firepower. Planes with 50cals tend to have low number but in practice can be formidable (hell, I'll vouch for the one-gun Yak-3RD to be one of the more powerful planes at T7)...and planes with really big gun like Yak-9 tend to miss the crucial big shots so all that number become meaningless.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

It's more similar to the Corsair than the Yak-7. Slightly less firepower (the VYa-23s are pretty nice guns), and pretty damn slow, and but better maneuverability and freedom in vertical maneuvers.

It has one of the better climb rates among single-engine aircraft at T6. It also has a lot of health (around as much as the F2G, a tier 8) the value of which shouldn't be underestimated with the increased AA.

Those guns are sweet.

Agreed.  They overheat much slower than most 20mm cannons on fighters I have used thus far; very useful to actually destroy ground targets and other fighters since the guns are very forgiving of poor fire discipline.

its firepower can't match that of La-5's as well as flight characteristic, however it's more durable

It's more similar to an up-tiered, under-gunned IL-2.  Review here.

It also shares a lot of resemblance with the I-220. (Same engine, more or less same outline)

But also in that case the I-220 seems to beat it hands down.
