Hi there,

New to WoWP and am surprised at how fun it is, but...

I'm realizing just how few are playing and would like so way of knowing who I'm up against. In WoWS, bots in the practice matches are denoted with colons surrounding the name of the bot.Something like this=  :name:

Is there any way the same could be done in WoWP?

It's pretty frustrating to realize that most/all your team might be bots after the fact you've been suggesting targets and chatting with them....

Thanks!

ps. also tone down AAA...it's ridiculous...

Simply right click on the players and you will find the other player

Its the only one you can report where bots will display nothing

You are probably better off chatting with the bots with the current player base so stick with that

Every game will have sour apples in the mix. Please do not take A_3's statement as speaking for everyone. In fact, more vocal new players are what is needed both here on the forums and in-game.

Don't be afraid to speak up in a match or try and network with other players. Just understand you will run into children, both old and young.

Just don't stoop to their level and act like them.

The clue is bots have capitalised names, country specific to the plane they are flying so Ivan in an Il-2 is a bot, Fritz in Me-109 is also a bot.

But ivan in a Yak-7 is a player as is Fritz in an A6M.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

And, another interesting bot fact:  they occasionally will talk or ping the map.  Usually where they ping is a pretty stupid place to go.  And bots don't know the meaning of the word, "defense".  So, you'll see your bots head off to a red zone when playing defense on blue would win the game.  Only to have the bots lose the game by not defending a zone and not being able to capture that red zone fast enough (or usually dying in the attempt) -as just happened last match where we lost by 1 tick after having a strong lead.

I'm finding that the few players I run into are reasonably non-tankish.  In other words, they aren't too angry.  Further, humans can learn.  The bots are set with whatever programming the devs (who probably don't understand how to win a match) gave them and can't improve without someone changing their code or upping their aim assist/armor/other-cheats, but that's still leaving them stuck making stupid map decisions even if their skills "increase".  The really sad thing is that if new human players follow the bots' lead, they will learn how to lose matches with bad map strategy.  Double whammy on the player population as winning is usually more rewarding and fun than losing.
