Had a game where we only had 4 planes left, someone on the other team said that we don't have a chance and one of our players said, "Bots never give up!" But at the end of the game he didn't have a lit + sign by his name. I assume that's how you know humans from bots? I know bots 'talk' but I thought it kind of funny if they actually calls themselves bots.

i applaud the devs' efforts at bot humor!

i've had some ham-fisted battles that i probably could have been mistaken as a bot

hey, let's watch for the devs coding  "gl:hf" into bot chat!

Well, I guess there's no denying it:  The bots have become self-aware, sentient beings.  Which places us in a moral dilemma, do we continue to slaughter them because we can?  Or do we need to offer them the choice of continuing to be slaughtered or retire to a nice map of their very own where they can frolic and be free?

I say we give them the Scorching Sands map.  It sucks anyway...   :)

It gets old real quick and pre 2.0 many of us ran Hryunomod/LVMP which blocked out the stupid bot chatter while marking them by the lack of a rating.

I used to have a handle on life until it broke off.

I've never realized that bots used chat... I've probably been trying to chat with bots like an idiot.

I was in a game last night where one of the bots announced that he was looking for a clan.  Cracked me up.

Definitely seen some bot chat now.

Its weird & dumb, should be removed.

I don't have an issue with the bots existing but having them do chat etc pretending to be people is not OK.

They don't seem to want a map of their own, just to snuff us out. As one of them casually and chillingly remarked to us all in pre-contact banter the other day before the snuffing started, "The First Law of Robotics has been rescinded".

You've been warned, maybe shoot 1st and ask them which little slice of paradise they'd fancy moving to when you see them on the ground later.

RE: Bot Behavior

Are the bots still keyed to one person upon match start, as with previous versions of the game, and go where that player goes?

Or are the bots just that randomly counter-productive because ''reasons'', like when two or more heavy/attack bots are off in neutral areas doing nothing and going nowhere.

I keep seeing games where one side somehow manages to stay en masse, yet the opposing bots scatter to the wind right from start to keep flinging themselves uselessly at the next nearest capture area.

I just can't figure this aspect of the game change, where from one night to the next actual players can be scoring/capturing/etc etc essentially the same yet lose over and over instead of winning half or more of their matches.

What gives WG?

Let me know about how you feel about those bots several months from now after they screw the pooch and cause you to lose quite a few battles

I think thats from players going with the Bots, helping them cap quickly without dying -> move en-masse to next target.

i chalked it up to a goofball comment from a human player
