Hello, so I'll get my system specs out of the way. Here they are:

Intel Core i5-4690K running @ 3.5GHz

AMD R9 380 4GB

8GB RAM

480GB SSD

Radeon Crimson 17.7.2 Drivers (fresh install with the Windows reset)

Windows 10 Fall Creators update. (just reset as well so its not the Windows install).

Playing the game at 1080p performs significantly worse compared to other WG products and even other games that are significantly more demanding and I believe I have figured out why.

While playing with the ultra preset and watching Task manager on one of my auxiliary monitors I noticed that the CPU utilization was only is the 30-40% range and the GPU was hovering around about 60-80% usage. While the GPU usage is fine for the most part, it is clear the the game is not utilizing more than probably 1 of my CPUs 4 cores and as a result the game hovers around the 30-40fps range on the ultra preset. Lowering the graphics quality also results in negligible performance improvements.

Is WG aware of this and are they working on a fix? Does anyone else have similar results/issues?

The game is PLAYABLE but if I wanted to play at a cinematic 30fps I would own a console :teethhappy:

(and yes VSync is off)

Don't worry. It's not just you. And no WG is not aware. (They never are) :P

I'm having the same issue, trying to like this version, however <20 fps is taking the hiho out of my experience.

what are you running that makes it go into the 20s? The 30-40s are at least very playable. 20 though.......

WoWp never was optimized for all cores, it would always have a heavy load on 1 core.  So this is not new.

Also just to throw it in there, I am using i5-4460, 1080 ti SC2 and I have drop to 30s FPS when I use to get 60s look at the ground cludder, looking up into the air use to get 100s and now get 80s.

try running all your settings on ultra low and turn the slide bar on the smell down to 0%

... it should look like this:

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Yeah something is seriously wrong. Even going to low doesn't bring the game up to 60fps.

Low fps is very annoying. My computer is not new, but World of Tanks runs great at 80 fps with some medium to low settings.

World of Warplanes starts at 45 fps, but when there are lots of planes and fighting it goes to 26 fps. Changing graphics settings almost does nothing, I have a good video card. Before 2.0, it was slightly better.

The game is not optimized to use all cores on cpu and video cards I guess. If developers don't fix it, the only way to fix it is to buy a new gaming PC.

The 2.0.1 update really killed my FPS. It's been nearly a month, and still no response from the devs? The game ran perfectly fine before that in 2.0.0.

I had a steady 72 fps before 2.0.2, and suddenly it dropped to 24 fps on average and max 30 fps almost like it was locked to 30. Really weird.

All I can say is that I'm glad it isn't just me. Both of the other WG properties run fine accept for the server integrity. Don't think that this is a coincidence that this happens on holidays and weekends.
