There is no key bind for chatting in battle but I see that people can talk. So, what am I missing?

Normally just enter to get to the chat

Then Tab to toggle between All & Team (default Team, colour changes when you change, white text = All)

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

Just like in pretty much every game available... ever.

Press Enter... Type Words... Press Enter again.

I don't want to hurt you... I just want to kill you!

I’m confused about this as well. On my setting it says press f5 for affirmative, and f3 to attack but on my computer it doesn’t do anything. I can hit enter and type what I want to say but the f keys don’t do anything special.

Looks like everyone has answered your question already...unless you're asking about 'hotkey chat' which would be F2 when designating a base you're going to attack/defend, F3...actually does anyone remember what F3 does? F4 when you're targeting an enemy/escorting a friendly, F5 to respond with "affirmative", F6 for "negative", F7 for the "enemy on my six, need help"

I don't remember if F8-F12 do anything since I never use them. Also F1 pulls up a nice little quick help guide for the bases in the match you're currently in and some other tidbits.

Hope this helps!

Me: "It's not bragging if you can do it!"
