I don't feel like the bombers are at the right price point for those of us who would rather just buy them with money. I myself don't have hours and hours to grind with a busy work schedule. Here is the current prices you'd have to spend on gold to exchange for tokens to then buy the bombers.

  • Blenheim IV (Tier III Bomber) - 72 Tokens = 3,600 Gold = $17.53
  • A-26B (Tier VI Bomber) - 252 Tokens - 12,600 Gold = $54,07
  • RB-17 (Tier VIII Bomber) - 780 Tokens - 39,000 Gold = $159.57

It seems like the class VIII Bomber is extremely over priced... The Tier III Bomber should be what the Tier VI should cost and the Tier VI Bomber should be what the Tier VIII should cost. Tier III should be around $6

You can earn parts and tokens by just completing missions/playing the game.

I understand that i can "play the game" which i have been doing from the release of 2.0. I have so far only managed to get 2 bomber parts. I don't have many hours per night to "play" as i work. I don't mind spending my own hard earned cash on these types of things as its going to the people who created the games i enjoy playing.

Now if the prices were more in line with what i feel they should be, based on what they are currently selling in their store and the dollar gaps between the tiers. If they matched more of the price scheme below i'd buy them all...Lol.

  • Blenheim IV (Tier III Bomber) - $6.09 $17.53
  • A-26B (Tier VI Bomber) - $18.79 $54,07
  • RB-17 (Tier VIII Bomber) - $54.99 $159.57

Hell, i'd still buy them all even if you added an extra $5 or $10 bucks to those price tags.

Someone else has said that the bombers will hit the store at a later date as wg does with a lot of the reward planes.

Well I've been playing since some time post 2.0 & have 13/15 for Blenheim, 2 & 3 for the other two.

Patchnotes say the bombers will still be available to buy with Tokens till 1 Feb 2018, my question is will we still be getting these Missions that earn Tokens?

Yeah i'm sure they will hit the store at some point, i just really hope its not after the "buy with tokens" ends in February 1 2018.

Yes and each bomber part is 39 tokens, and you are so close.

The bombers are so much fun, different play style but fun.

Have all three in my hanger and fly them every day, good silver maker.

The more crates you open, the more parts you get.

The dailies and medals get you a lot of tokens.

The issue is that the token cost per gold are silly. WG values 150 tokens at 2500 gold per their trade for 30 days of premium. 16.7 gold per token. If we were to apply these values to the planes, they would be 1/3 the OP's listed cost, $6, $18, and $53. All reasonable values for premium planes at that tier.

This is a cash grab. Reach into your pocket and pay these exorbitant prices for premiums, and you will reinforce their decision to do it again.

This has been said in several posts, & we all do enjoy playing along with supporting this game .We all would probably enjoy & support their New Bombers in the line up. Supporting it, is one thing, But being taken advantage of by it... outrageous price ..... is another.

wouldn't really suggest you to invest in them, if no one buys them, they might giveaway like what they did to La-11 and J8M

Got my Blenheim for free, without using tokens. Got 1/3 of the A-26B parts, so that's basically a 33% discount if I want to buy tokens to buy it now. Or I could just continue playing casually and get more parts or tokens until it costs a lot less or I get it for free outright.

If you want it now so badly, just fork it out. If not, just wait until it is available in-game for gold or in the premium shop for a cheaper price.

You can still get the bombers for free using tokens until February 1st.  ALthough it may be harder as you will need to pay the high token per part price.  I would advise get as many parts as you can now, but there is only 1 day left.

Getting the parts from the boxes has been such RNG. I've gotten only 2 parts out of the countless boxes i have opened...Bad luck sucks. I just feel that like cobra_marksman said it seems like a cash grab. I just think the token cost on these bombers to be a bit much is all.

The tier 3 bomber parts came pretty easy, like every 3rd crate had one. The tier 6 bomber parts slowed down to 1 in every 6th crate, but managed to get it with a few purchased token. But the tier 8 bomber is much tighter, more like 1 in 12, ( aka.  1 a day ). At that rate, were probably going to have to buy  some token to complete the bomber parts.

You're lucky then. I hardly ever get any parts for the tier 8 after logging 40+ hours. But if you really think about it, WG wouldn't give away a T8 premium for free so easily. The way I see it, if you're lucky you can get the tier 8 for 60-70% off after deducting the cost from parts and tokens that you received for free. If you're extremely lucky, you can get it for free from parts and grinded tokens alone, in which case you should've been buying lottery tickets instead.

Simplified concept:

1) Introduce bombers

2) introduce bomber part crates

3) Introduce missions and methods to earn and buy bomber parts crates

4) Let players decide when they've opted to grind enough missions and have enough parts and want to spend cash or not

I think it was like $10 to out and out buy the Blenheim - worth it to see if bombers were interesting.

I think I spent like $15 to finish unlocking the A-26B (that kill 200 AA mount mission... geesh)

I will just grind the RB-17.  Hopefully I will either unlock enough stuff or get enough tokens.

Keep in mind that WG is also trying to get a lot of people to play a  lot of games.  The cost to straight up purchase the bombers is high, the only reason I can think of for this is to encourage people to play/grind rather than just buy them and play fewer games.

When does this event where we can assemble the bombers for free by completing missions actually end?

Is the RB-17 worth trying to get if the event ends soon?

Keep your head on the swivel.
