why did WG remove the artificial horizon the target window and having the mini map and the radar separate, and the choice of targeting retacles. How many people want all of these features back. Please add any other features that were missed that you would like wg to replace.

The first two are really necessary and the targeting reticles while not necessary are nice.to have. The artificial horizon for flight immersion and the target window because situational awareness is terrible to the point that worrying about that plane on your tail is a waste of time because you will be lucky to even get a glimpse of your tormentor so you will not know if you need to turn with them or run like hell.

Because they rushed the patch. Again. Notice how the tab to custimize your hud in the settings is disabled?... Yea

You'll just have to wait for the next minor patches until they enable it again with more unusual tweaks.

+One - The loss of the artificial horizon is one of the most insane decisions by Persha that I could imagine.  If they wanted to simplify the game the flight interface was probably one where they could have offered "recommended" and "advanced" settings.  But nooooooo.... they had to totally screw with all that.

Instead, they make the missions, the XP and medals and all other inconsequential things a total clusterflock.  But hey! they simplified the game interface so it's impossible to tell if you are climbing or diving or level so that's a plus, right?

how about adding back the 'percent throttle', vertical/horizontal indicators,,... actually just add all that we had in 1.9displays, including the individual aircraft physics,

why take them away?, why screw over everyone that purchased a plane and now have nothing of what they bought except a bad visual imitation.

Even when they had the artificial horizon they had the wrong one.

They put the Russian version on the  US, French, Japanese and British planes.

In reality, only the planes built in the Soviet Union had those, and the lend Lease planes the Soviets flew also had the Western versions.

Does anyone know if Hryunomod has a version that works with 2.0?

DICTA BOELCKE for WoWP
    1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
    2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
    3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
    4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
    5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
    6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
    7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
    8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent

Why? Because Wargaming upper echelon brain trust thought they would make more money by changing the game to Warthunder. They couldn't care less about what their true regular customers and clients want.

This game is harder than the other two WG games.  Period.

WG had to dumb it down for people that cannot even handle looking at a map to see where their team is let alone understand an altimeter or any of that.   Those are 75-90% of the playerbase right now.

Some players will get better an the skill curve will go up a tad but not a lot.  People are people.

I remember back in the day someone suggested a miniature instrumentation panel on the bottom of the screen which I though would have been awesome, especially if every plane had it's own unique panel.

The one thing I would like to see added in this area is more complex sound design in regards to engine/speed management like you would find in a sim. Also gray, black and redoubts.  And a better stall model.  All these things "teach" players to fly. In an arcadie driving game like Need For Speed, even playing on Auto Transmission, you have a fully fleshed out model of negative player feedback that teaches the player the boundaries of their vehicle.

In WoWp your engine sound is the same from Non-boosted Max Speed until you stall. No variation in between.

If you exceed your optimal rate of climb your engine should start to struggle.

These are the types of things you see in all other genres of vehicle games that teach players to play, and really bring the game to life.

European Truck Simulator does an amazing job of this I'm sure with fewer resources than Wargaming has available.
