I picked the Corsair to battle and I thought something was wrong when I couldn't go beyond 1200 meters in altitude without going yellow...after that match I took a look at the optimal altitude of planes, and...

The multiroles got some funny treatment when it came to altitude. With tier 6 unlocked it became painfully obvious, as planes in the high-alt nation starts to get to go really high at this point.

F4U-1 : 1200 meters

P-47B : 1500 meters

Fw 190A-5 : 1400 meters

...of course, the Russians and Japanese still have crap altitude, but a few things stand out:

The La-5, gets a paltry ceiling of 1200 meters...it would've make 2000 easily in 1.9.

Spitfire V gets 1400 meters.

It gets better when I take a look at the tech tree...

F-94, F7U, and both F-94s have 1800 meters ceiling, the F6U gets 2000 for some reason. Compared to the F-86's 2800 and FJ-1's 2600 it seems like the former are immigrants from Russia or Japan.

Spitfire XIV gets 1600 meters ceiling, so is the J4M...

F2G gets 1400 meters. Geez, did someone uninstalled those turbosuperchargers the Americans are so proud of in their piston MRFs? Funnily enough, the XP-72 gets 1800 meters, equal to its higher tier Thunderjets.

This is likely not just dumbing down...They must've got so scared of bot stallers that they not only alter the entire flight mechanics, they push the multiroles down to the ground and make the national bands even more rigid just to keep some of those bot stallers at bay! Maybe they just want less planes to touch their precious bombers...who knows.

Well, my experience with WT is only the bombers fly high as it takes forever for anything else to get high enough to attempt to take them down.

The A-26 (2000 meters) started to go red at slightly over 3000 or so...very high altitudes can be reached easily by bombers as they have exceessive boosts (A-26 has 60).

Will keep that in mind as more planes get unlocked...

That's how they are forcing you to carry bombs and rockets on your mrf. They are worthless up high so might as well hit some gts!

Not really, more like forcing to *use* them. Carrying ordnance in 2.0 have no impact whatsoever on maneuverability.
