Dont take offence to this, but here in lies the source of your frustration.

Block Quote

ANSWER:  I can say it takes NO skill to win in an IL, all day long, because it is fact.  Has nothing to do with If I know how to kill them or not !!!!

I dont have a X Sabre.  Since I refuse to purchase and fly GA, you do not progress up the ladder.  I dont care if it takes a Tier X for you to kill an IL. I laugh at that.

That statement shows you are ignorant. Not only do you refuse to acknowledge reason, but you refuse to learn anything.  I gave you an example of the most powerful IL in the game, and how it is easily defeated, and you can't see past your own nose(metaphor for your current tier).

Usually ignorance is bliss, but in your case you seem eternally frustrated... Strange.  There is nothing more I can do to help you.

If it takes a tier 10 jet for you to defeat an IL....good for you.  I still prefer the challenge of doing it the hard way.  Prop light fighter

Making ace in any plane is winning to me as far as I am concerned and I have made that fact well known.

If you are too ignorant to see the fallacy of an IL (flying tank) accomplishing this feat, however improbable it may seem, then you must thrive in a comic book world.

We are making some progress... Another source of your frustration has been identified. You are confusing reality and historical facts with an ARCADE based video game.  You see, WarGaming did not design this game to be historically accurate, nor a flight simulator.

Now, you have made the decision to play an ARCADE style game, yet you are also choosing to complain that it is not historically accurate.  Kind of like purchasing a Civic and complaining to Honda that it doesn't drive like a Ferrari.  You do see that it is not the fault of Honda, or the Civic right?

Then we must agree that this arcade game has included a Star Wars Death Star (IL) into what was supposed to be a WWll video game making it pretty ridiculous........

Is it also ridiculous to have Star Wars unlimited ammo, unlimited fuel, no blacking out, radar, mini-map, target window, information about who is on the other team, what planes they are in, performance information on those planes, lead indicators, engine restarters, maneuverability boosters, engine cooling boosters, planes that stay together when they would fall apart in a high speed dive?

That is the game you decided to play.  Sorry GA planes give you trouble. They are easy kills, "they are not the tanks you are looking for"

Tex, no matter how ill-conceived or moronic your notions are concerning GA, you remain steadfast in your belief. Hey, I had to find a silver lining for the guy somewhere in all this malarkey.

Once again you refrain from mentioning the # 1 Advantage in the entire game.   Mega Superman Armor given to the IL Flying Tank and some other GAA.  If not for this, many players could never, ever compete in the game.  Yeah, it troubles me that this big of an advantage was handed out when there is no reason for any plane in the game to have over 600 HP.

Goto https://na.warplanes.today/

Click on Planes, then in the column header chose type AA.

If "it takes no skill to win in an IL" and "even minors can win in" why is the win rate for the majority of ground pounders around 50 % ?
Makes no sense, correct, except the statement "it takes no skill" is wrong.

I'm not sure you understand the conflict between the two statements you are making.

  1. GA have superman armor
  2. You know how to beat them.

Examine those 2 statements, let me know when you are able to rationalize that they can not exist together.

You seem to be stuck on the armor and the 600HP, but you fail to talk about the complete lack of airspeed, limited boost, abysmal maneuverability, and next to nothing altitude performance.  So it seems that you prefer your sitting ducks with no helmets.

GA are easy kills, removing any of their advantages would only leave them with a complete disadvantage as they have nothing else going for them but the few defenses against every other plane type.

Zombie gunner so OP - Okay, so don't get hit by the gunner... EASY

Superman armor - Not really - I took an IL-20 out yesterday in 2 passes using tier 8 Japanese plane

Mega bombs - Okay, so don't get hit by a bomb... EASY

Mega Weapons - Okay, don't get hit by the guns.  Due to their low maneuverability, they can not hit someone that is maneuvering. Don't fly in their cone of gunfire. EASY

But you say you know all this, and how to defeat them, so how is it they are defeating you without any skill?

Sorry, nothing about a GA is OP when you look at them combined with all their disadvantages.

Yes, I know what it takes to bring down an IL, does not mean I do it every single time.  Thanks for listing all the obvious MEGA ops for the Mighty Flying Tanks that helps so many stay in the game.   If you can shoot down every single IL you encounter....good for you.....As for myself, I have to been known to  run out of time in the game before the kill is complete.   But then I dont intend to spend anywhere near the amount of $ you have spent on the game....

never said I did'nt know how......as you get more play time...you will discover it can be time consuming with a light fighter

Especially if your light fighter technique includes flying behind a GA 3 times in a row until...

Now we are finalizing your dilemma, besides not being able to see the whole picture and just focusing on the far outweighed advantages of a GA.

I knew you would get there eventually.  As you stated the problem is with you, not the GA, or the GA pilot.  It is not up to WG to make something easier for 1 person who is having issues.  However, as you have stated, you know what you are doing, therefore... nothing needs to change.

I have spent $4.00 on this game.  It was when I first started and paid for a weekend of premium time, back when they allowed bonus EXP to be counted in missions rather than just base EXP.  It was for the XP-50 and Ki-88 missions.  But I agree, I don't think anyone should spend $ on this game, and I am proof of what can be achieved without doing so.

There is no reason to spend money to achieve anything in this game as it is not imo a finished product.  I might consider it if the population rises and they developed end game content, but not before then.

Everything I have I have achieved from missions, or forum contests for gold or planes.

In any case spending money has nothing to do with your problems with ILs.  If you need help, you can watch my Twitch stream.  Heck GA are so easy that I usually hit the Ctrl + Home keys to completely tun off all HUD and fly and fire with no help but walking tracers... even then they are only mildly difficult.
