If you have ever gotten an ace badge in the IL-2 (mod) then you know that you must have done your best to take out nothing but planes the entire game. But it didn't help at all. Almost 1000 damage against planes and still a loss. Weekend teams.

If you did that in a mid tier attack plane then your team mates should be charged with criminal game-play negligence and be forced to give you 1,000,000 credits each for a pain and suffering penalty.

That was basically the point of my post. How can I get an ace badge in a plane that is not great for shooting down planes and yet the entire team loses horribly? I'm not trying to brag about my own performance here. Like you said, it was rather easy. But what does that say about the majority of players in this game? That was my point. We need more training for players. The average age of the players here is over 25. There is no excuse for having a player base that doesn't even seem to be trying rather at all.

Not sure if you are aware but the majority of players in this game are in fact bots.

You have played the other WG titles & should have realized by now that the majority of players are useless & don't care about teamwork. Their mentality is that they are playing a video game to have fun & that they are not beholden to anyone else. What makes you think that WOWP would be any different?

I know you are right. I know it. But sometimes this stupid idea pops into my head that people actually want to win, learn to do better, help other people out, and gain greater rewards from doing so. But you are right. The modern reality that I need to face is that most people today only care about doing the least and getting the most out of it at anyone elses expense. So they spam games, race in to die and do some damage and do that as often as they can to get what they want. They simply don't give a damn about anything. That's the reality that I constantly forget.

We are playing a video game.....nothing historically correct at all.....the GA (IL) proves it so by making ace......makes the game a joke

I would say ...the pilot makes an Ace. Machine itself does not do much.

nothing much except providing superman armor, faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive------: only found in a comic book.   A 4 yr old can win in an IL........

and yet someone lost.

Text, I think in this particular instance, this argument doesn't hold water. It has a terrible tail gunner, mediocre ordnance, and sub par guns. It can't run away quickly, and I've seen warships turns faster. It is quite literally the WORST ground pounder in the game, Scoring 5 kills with only ONE was an enemy GAA is an accomplishment. the Beaufighter can easily kill a tier 4 to 6 ground pounder in a single pass. Maybe a bot or two crashed after taking some tail gunner damage. Maybe they were wounded when they started engaging him. I'm not going to speak as to how 'good' i am at the game, because IMO I suck, but I've never gotten an Ace in my IL-2 mod

I just have to laugh at this. A Tier X Sabre can melt an IL-40P in 1 pass. 2 or 3 passes if the GA Pilot is good.

Time consuming? Nope.

Difficult? Nope.

You cant say it take no skill, then turn around and say you know how to beat them.  It is either one or the other.  Compared to the other plane types. GA are sitting ducks, plain and simple.  If you find them difficult to beat, or too time consuming, you dont know how to attack effectively.

ANSWER:  I can say it takes NO skill to win in an IL, all day long, because it is fact.  Has nothing to do with If I know how to kill them or not !!!!

I dont have a X Sabre.  Since I refuse to purchase and fly GA, you do not progress up the ladder.  I dont care if it takes a Tier X for you to kill an IL. I laugh at that.
