The game is dead.

Wargaming had a potential gold mine and instead of actually doing due diligence and understanding why people appealed and stayed with WoWP they (persha and wg) did exactly what the outestad CEO of JC Penny Ron Johnson did..

here is a great article :

http://business.time...r-at-jc-penney/

and the ones that relate to us:

He Misread What Shoppers Want - ( this is what persha has done with WoWP)

He Didn’t Test Ideas in Advance  - ( This is the dismal patches we had , going all the way back to 1.5 . nothing was tested with a larger group. Super testers was a good idea, just badly implemented , especially when you had 2 different market of players.)

He Alienated Core Customers  ( Most of left because they kept adding features that did not appeal to us , the paying customers. Such as end game. Instead they focus on things we didn't care about , like prettier planes in HD! , change of flight controls , introduced a MM that didn't work , etc. I personally stop dumping money on this game once i knew this game was only getting worst. When they introduced  the bots it was over for me. I play against players not bots)

my take is that they need leadership that focus on us the customer, we are the ones that support the product not the other way around. Unless they hire someone that actually does their due diligence and does research  on why this game appealed to more players in the past. This game is pretty much dead , even if they introduce 2.0 with a new game mode, it won't make players flock back to the game.  Because at the end of the day , the game has extremely bad product management and vision.

Happy hunting.

Only people left here are die hards.

The last server glitch made a lot quit as it was in the middle of an event.

Go fly a lower tier and you will see why noobs dont stand a chance right now.

Gone are the days of 1200 players online and any hope for the game as they introduce bandaid solutions like bots because they cant figure out why players are leaving.

That's my opinion and I will still fly as I love to fly and play for that reason.

Just not as much and no gold from me untill they smarten up.

People fly where they can have some enjoyment. What ever the tier. The state of the game has gotten to the point it's almost not worth it. I've come to the same conclusion as you. Like to fly but far less often in this state of the game.

Well stated.

To be honest, WG never listened to their alpha/beta testers either.

  • We told them various patches were bad in closed beta, but they ignored us and pushed ahead with their own agenda, much like our JC Penny friend.
  • We told them it wasn't ready for open beta, they ignored us and forged blindly ahead.
  • We told them it wasn't ready to go Live, but they again disregarded the testers' opinions and released it in very raw, not-ready form.
  • They continued to consistently ignore us until the majority of the Persha crew was replaced. Then, it seemed like maybe they were listening a bit.
  • Unfortunately, WG again seems to be forcing their own idea of what players want for 2.0, virtually excluding NA from the 2nd phase of testing.

They just don't get it. Customers matter in the real world. I don't think any players want the current mode of gameplay to be replaced with an arcadey version of capture the flag, but I'm afraid that's what's going to happen in the 2.0 patch. It should be offered as a secondary game mode, not a replacement for what we've had for 5 years. Everything I've seen from FVE's quoted RU threads indicate that the new mode will be the only mode.

It boggles the mind.

complete and total lack of experience with flying games, with a staunch refusal to admit they are A2A developer nubs. Coupled with what fast said and you get this. A game with so many salty people saying "what if", that we might as well be going for a swim in the dead sea. They had it (well in comparison to now they did) and lost it all on their own.

I officially gave up when i saw the communication in ships. Anyway great forum though

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

Hopefully, the upcoming common test will bring them out also. It's coming up here in the not distant future, and I would really like it if you all would participate if you feel inclined.  A good turn out would be very beneficial

Will it be a Common Test?  Or another round of Closed Public Test?  The participation in the first 2 rounds of Closed Public Test was absolutely pathetic, and was due to it being Closed rather than open to everyone.

If you want to have a good turnout... you need to make participation possible for the people that actually want to contribute to testing.

Round 1 of testing, the most I saw online was 9 people, and it went down from there.

Round 2 I head there was only 1 person that gave feedback, and the only feedback was not being able to play, due to long queue times, due to nobody being online.

Round 3 TBD.  But it is up to WarGaming.
