Air to Air rocket kills during WW2...Were there any?  I've been looking and can't seem to find any confirmed kills with rockets.  I was shot down this morning with a rocket salvo early on in a battle.  The pilot already had two kills with rockets within the first minute of the same battle.  I was expecting the attack and still couldn't avoid it.  Some semblance of realism would be nice.  Personally I think air to air rockets should be taken out of the game or at least minimized in their effectiveness.  If I wanted to play a video game with "power ups" and imaginary weapons, I would go back to the 80's and play
Galaga.

Rockets were usually used versus massed formations of bombers. More of an aerial flak system...

Cheers!

More likely to have been shot down by a rocket than a bomb during WWII.   Yes, there was the occasional friendly fire-- bomb drop at high altitude for those that flew underneath. We have all seen the B17 pictures.

Except for Glenn Miller, they had more of a chance of spotting a UFO from Mars than taken down by bombs   !!!!!!!

For some, the bomb kill is the only way they can get a kill in the game......

How do we know the UFOs didn't find him?

Regarding WoWP:

Spoiler

As for RL...most (if not all) of kills made by R4Ms were heavy bombers. The Zvonarev flight that took RS-82s with their I-16s to battle does not seem to have confirmation, but there are numbers of around 10 fighters and 3 bombers downed by rockets. As for the Starfire's FFAR rockets (the stuff is postwar though), they were intended to use against bombers but have very poor accuracy.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...

The 262 would use the r4m rockets in salvo form and take out bombers. That's how they worked. The r4m rockets used to suck and only the good rocketeers could get them. Now they buffed the r4m's and they made it easy.

Well, it happened just a month ago when a line of plane slinging R4Ms all day long just arrived...and they work just a teeny bit too well...

Good to see you're still alive bro.

If you were to strap on a Tier X BV P.215.02, with it's 56 R4Ms (7 salvos of 8 rockets), and 4 WGr 21s, you'd have a fit.....just sayin'....

The primates have evolved into a newer more advanced form of bacteria and have decided to segregate the skill shot with the application of the non-skilled shot

Once again a backfire as expected but at least this time WG didn't profit much off of it

Oh wait, they never profit from making the game easier because they lose players every time they do!!!

Given the very small number (less than 1k), how many has been lost, anyway?

I took it for granted that all have heard the theory that a Lancaster dropping unused ordinance over the channel may have taken out Glenn Millers plane.

Losing even 1 is enough......

The game is as you know very fragile and has been this way for a while now

One boneheaded move after another doesn't help
