Your not that smart then because it was out of Vancouver and all our remote camps used rogers.

Get out of the basement,go get a job and maybe you will learn something because you obviously dont have a clue what your talking about.

Depends... the guy that sold them could have been named Roger.

My installer is nicknamed king kong and has many vids on you tube of him flying in to my camps at the arctic circle but hey....lets not facts get in the way of you wanting your fanbois to do some stroking on your ego. Some of you should have got out of your moms basement decades ago as you dont seem to have much experience out of the basement dwelling you have called home.

Rogers was the only one who could do this but I see I am dealing with kids who have never left home so....idiots abound everywhere.

Most of you dont have a clue about even setting up a network,I saw that a long time ago.

I set up my last one at camp to talk with my girlfriend in Vancouver with no charges through my sat set up,something way beyond most of you folks capabilities. lol! Carry on Noobs.

3000 miles away and no long distance,Thanks Rogers!

There are many company's that offer satellite services to remote camps & Rogers isn't one of them.

Here are a few that do http://www.camptek.ca/, https://www.xplornet.com/, http://www.groundcon...te_Internet.htm, http://www.galaxybroadband.ca/

I googled Chuck Norris and King Kong, the results were not something I would be into viewing.  Someone was definitely being ROGERED though.

So, you're saying you discovered VoIP/Skype to avoid telco long distance rates?

I thought Telus and BCE owned the western provinces network needs?  Anyhow, from the last kong vid, I see TRG Systems hardware, which is now defunct, and a Telesat Teleport service.  Interesting read on Telesat wiki...I'm guessing that's your sat link, whether directly or through a piggyback provider.

Chuck, most people know very little about what's going on inside computers as a general statement, but when you are addressing this kind of crowd, you might want to leave a bit of room in your statements for the odd few that really do understand computers and networks, there are a few that hang out in PT's alone.:P

P.S. Bubba, there is a difference between ISP, and ILC, as you can have Earthlink as your ISP, but have AT&T or Spectrum as the ILC, the actual signal being handled by the latter not the former.

I installed and configured my own DirectTV satellite and reprogrammed the cards getting free pay -per-view for years.

It must suck at to have to pay for someone to set something up for you, especially plug and play equipment.

I'm closing this topic as it's not relevant any longer, however if you have any network issues, please run the WGCheck tool HERE You are able to open the file after creating it and could either look at your trace route (Like Pingplotter). Or send it to supportand they should be able to troubleshoot network issues as well.
