Mostly, I need the ability to go 'free camera', and the ability to edit the replays, please.

Free camera? Did you try clicking the left button of your mouse and moving the mouse around? Is that not what you mean by free camera?

There is a free camera mod available & I think it is included in the LVMP mod pack.

As for your video editing ability that's all on you.

Check out the Community Creations forum.

In your replays, you can left click, and activate free camera mode. If you want even more range of motion for your camera, there is a camera mod that has a much greater range of movement (see posts about mods in the same CC forum).

 

As for editing, if you record your replay using Fraps, Razer Cortex, Bandicam, etc., Then you can use all knds of video editing software. I personally go "bargain basement" and use Bandicam and Windows Movie Maker, both of which are free downloads.

Those are still great videos! There may be a camera mod in the mods section of the forums. Also you are able to use the replay feature and record from that. By pressing the "Home" key it will disable the HUD so you just see that battle.

Left click mouse=free cam.Then you can just move the mouse for the view and how I took these bomb explosions.

My.com has an excellent streaming and recording interface and is entirely free. you just have to download their launcher.

Thanks for the input, guys. I never even considered that there might be a mod for it. I'll check it out.

By "free camera" I mean't that I would like to be able to put stationary cameras on the maps to film the action 3rd party style. For example: on the one where I flew through the bridge, I'd like to put a camera on the bridge, and see it from that perspective. I want to go full Spielberg, man. lol

Just get OBS, it is a streaming and recording interface, free and you do not have to get a launcher to use it.

 

A lot of Twitch streamers use OBS.

 There is so much more that the devs could potentially be working on to make this game better rather than increasing the options for replays. Also, no offense if you want Spielberg quality, start with improving your flying skills. Had you gone against any one that was decent, and you flew like that those would have been hard losses.
