While I was <Screaming Eagles> away giving <Screaming Eagles> training for the past couple of weeks <Screaming Eagles> on a business trip, I have not been able to post <Screaming Eagles> WoWP information to you guys. I just need to get <Screaming Eagles> something out of my mind.

I see there was an update patch? I also can see a comment on WG re-orginization with their London office too which I am not going to going to discussed. Plus add the second round of CT testing for update 2.0. Even Rita Gamer has an blog entry from a leaked source

https://ritastatusreport.live/2017/06/17/wowp-2-0-leakers-opinion/

And even noted here on Armored Patrol blog

https://thearmoredpatrol.com/2017/06/18/leakers-opinion-on-wowp-2-0/

And there is proposed Swiss tech tree for WoWP too

https://ritastatusreport.live/2017/06/18/wowp-swiss-tech-tree-part-1/

It looks like WoWP is gaining ground in outside opinion on update 2.0. But why the Swiss? (wanting the Grumman branch)

1. Will there be an advertising campaign at the exit of the New regime?

2. Is it worth waiting for the third test this summer?

Yes, and if it's not difficult for you, then duplicate the answer in this thread. And it seems I do not have access to a special section of the forum.

A. Greetings.
1. Yes, with a high degree of probability. But there is nothing more concrete to say.
2. Yes, again, as of the moment, there is such a desire.

So the opinions from the blog comments, WoWP update 2.0 is make or break time (nothing new) which is the reason for all the secrecy spy stuff. In addition, there will be a 3'rd round of CT testing (rumor) for the new update this summer. The reports look promising at least to me. What do you guys think?

promising is not a word I'm willing to use regarding WoWPs

prom·is·ing

ˈpräməsiNG/
adjective
adjective: promising
showing signs of future success.
"a promising actor"
synonyms: good, encouraging, favorable, hopeful, full of promise, auspicious, propitious, bright, rosy, heartening, reassuring More
"a promising start"
with potential, budding, up-and-coming, rising, coming, in the making
"a promising actor"
antonyms: unfavorable

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

WoWP's Final Gambit...

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...

It also sounds like the forum sections for Closed Public Test are set up on the RU forums.  Can anyone here confirm acceptance emails have been received, and forum sections have been created?

I applied, but do not see any changes, so either I didn't get in, or it hasn't been started yet.

I can confirm that there are people from NA that have closed public test tags as of right now.

I agree with your investigation.

Hopefully they will put the time and effort in so WG gets good feedback.

Its a reorganization to the WG infrastructure. They closed an office where there no employees are using the office. It makes economical sense for an explanation. Besides WG is investing into Finland as the article states. Why keep a higher costing office when another is cheaper? Just be lucky that WG is not moving WGNA to DeMoine, IA.

full context... the art of the deal, or how to take your floundering company for sale into an IPO while realizing more than it's really worth...

still... smart... very smart guy...

Victor Kislyi talks about a new vector – Finland

VK: – During the recent trip to Finland, we talked with students and colleagues from the International Game Developers Association. We’ve visited the tank museum in Parola. Thus, we’ve combined vacation with business. By the way, Wargaming cooperates with the museum for a long time already. It’s a great place. I’ve visited several dozen museums in the last 5-6 years, so I’ve got something to compare it with.
Regarding business, Finland is an important and congenial region for Wargaming. We’ve recently opened an office in Helsinki by buying the local development studio Boomlagoon. Now we’re actively developing connections, looking for promising teams and projects which could interest our subdivisions Wargaming Mobile and Wargaming Labs. Their local developer sphere already knows about us, for them, we’re a big player with several years of succesful expertise.

Q: – It’s strange to not hear any word about “tanks”. The flagship project and, as far as we know, 80% of the company’s profits. Is the game deflating after all?
VK: – It’s simple. “Tanks” did expectedly slip during the crisis in 2014 in the CIS, but that hit everyone on this market. Did the company lose profits? Of course. But we were the only ones who could afford to move towards the players. If you remember, the exchange rate for the ruble was jumping like crazy, but we affixed it in our shops and avoided a price increase of ingame purchases. Thus, players could afford more, and we minimized losses.
And yes, there was the legendary “Rubicon”, after which we understood that many things have to be changed. I won’t share too much details, but as a result, our team changed from being exclusively Minsk-based to an international one: the project director is American, development lead is Czech, but the core (who makes the end product) remains in Belarus. Sitting here are some of the world’s best developers. To assemble such a team, one has to spend several years.
We now have arrived at a reasonable approach in planning and rolling out updates. Now, we’re working on Ranked Battles, and they’re seemingly coming out well.
Regarding 80%. According to NewZoo, the Word of Warships project at different times was included in the top 10 by income amongst all online games. Also, Blitz is one of the best grossing games as well, and set a new trend in mobile development – session-based third person shooters.

Q: – All of these are current projects. What awaits us?
VK: – The first step is working on Total War: ARENA. In parallel, another project is being developed – “Caliber”, a tactical action game. It’s being developed by 1C.
We’re also planning to announce cooperation with a big British company soon.
Also, remembering the recent Boomlagoon purchase, we’ve recently launched Wargaming Mobile, which will, aside from working on its’ own projects, assist young developers to take the path from prototyping to a full game for free.
By the way, we’re in real need of good specialists. We have huge plans for mobile gaming, so we’re inviting able people to work on that. But not only there: we have 200 open vacancies all over the world, 70 of which are for our Minsk office.

OK: studio Boomlagoon

Sounds good: we’re a big player

Ohhh Kay: we minimized losses

So not really: they’re seemingly coming out well

Free? everyone likes free except workers: assist young developers to take the path from prototyping to a full game for free

oh well... it's still a fun game :sceptic:

So the stance is we get to keep the old mode or no? Is conquest replacing standard battles? There's no concrete info on this. Neither is it mentioned there in that rita blog.

I am not with the CT program, however if I am reading this properly, this is another mode to add on just like WoWS is with their conquest mode.Granted if there is more information I could pass it on to you.I am on the outside looking thru the window.

Here is some shocking news:

I asked to be added to the 2nd round of closed public test, as I participated a lot and gave a lot of feedback during the first round.

GhostPrime, on 20 June 2017 - 09:58 AM, said:

The second round of testing is over, I'm not sure when or if they will have another. I'll be sure to let everyone know

Then I was like WUUUUUT?  Sign-ups were just closed recently and the Thor's Hammer event is currently ongoing.

GhostPrime, on 20 June 2017 - 10:43 AM, said:

This round was very short. Only lasting a few days.

Hopefully they had a lot of participation during the CT and received a lot of feedback... Although... I don't see how.

Sounds like the same old story, they don't seem to want input from players, just need them to find the bugs.

Except that this time it was so exclusive and short, and during the Thor's Hammer event that I doubt anyone played enough to even find bugs.  I can only recall seeing 1 forum member with 'Closed Public Test' tags.

With such a short test... I think the actual patch is soon to follow.  Unless it was a complete disaster and they took it right down and have to go back to the drawing board.

I have further confirmation that the CT ended about a week ago.

The only posts in the CT section of the forum was a brief conversation between GhostPrime and someone else that made it into the Closed Public test about how long the wait times were and how unplayable the CT was due to that fact....  No good feedback... no substantial battles played by anyone...

HMMM I wonder why?
