Starting to have some decent games in the 109 E.  This line worth the time to continue?

IMHO, the BEST line in the game. (just look at my sig below)   If you like the 109E , you will LOVE the 209A (best plane at Tier 8).

Sweet.  Thanks, I don't play enough to know the best lines to go down.  So I started down all of them.....

.haha.

Playing all of the lines is a good practice. You get to know the planes, their strengths & their weaknesses. It also helps you find your particular favorite flying style.  I like to fly at high altitude, so I fly primarily US and German planes. But it all comes down to personal taste, in the end.

So fly them all as you work up the tiers, and even if you don't continue to fly them, the more you know about them will help you when facing off against them.

For example, I flew all the lines up to tier 6 or 7, but I never fly Japanese anymore, and I rarely fly anything Russian other than the GAs. But i'm familiar with them, and know what to do and what not to do when facing off against them.

How about end tier?  This is my non-frustration game after Ships and Tanks kill me.  I would like to know if it has a good end tier.  I like the game, but just came back after 3 months of not playing and do not want to waste my time.

Still figuring that one out myself as I grind through Tier 9.  Tier 8 is tons of fun, but it's a totally different game than Tier 4-6.  Once you hit tier 7, the planes are faster, fly higher, with bigger guns, and the entire combat meta changes.

By the way, I watched your video in the Emil.  3 Kills and 3 Assists is a nice solid battle. Well done.

You got high, and worked your way down from top to bottom. Just what you are supposed to do.

You cleared friendly tails, and didn't get caught in a turn fight with those Yaks....again, well done.

A couple of notes: You run the outboard 20's just like I do.  Some pilots prefer to run without them for more speed and maneuverability, relying solely on the hub 15 and the MGs.

The thing about the 20's is that they heat up fast.  Furthermore, your target reticle may say you are in range, but that's just for the 20's....the 15 will be borderline, and the 7.92s are still out of range.

Wait until you get a little closer before opening up, and you will see a greater return for your efforts.

Also, remember that once your 20s and your 15 have overheated, your MGs are still quite cool, so if you are in close and your target is close to dying, keep pumping the MGs into it to finish it off, rather than pass up a sure kill opportunity in an effort to cool down the 20s.

One final note. About your attack on the IL 2, if you pop your flaps and hit your S key (zero throttle), you can slow down enough to stay on target longer and ensure the kill, rather than overshoot.

Please note that I am trying to offer constructive advice, and not criticizing. Like I said, that was a good solid battle. Just trying to offer some tips.

The 209A is a great plane, as is the 109F. I'm not a huge fan of the 109G, but some love it and it is not a bad grind to get thru it to the 209A. I dis't really think the the tier 9 and 10 planes in the 109 line were worthwhile tho. they are ok, but in those tiers if you are not in a VERY capable light fighter (like the Attacker or MiG-9), life is not great when fighting all those OP heavies you'll see in those tiers.

Thanks for the advice.  I understand the meta of the plane, my execution is lacking.  I have a few tier 8s, not up to snuff yet with those.

Warchylde offers some good advice. I actually play with a mouse and keyboard and use the side buttons on the mouse to throttle the engine up and down. It helps me match the speed of slower aircraft I'm after.

I think the t10 in the line is kind of lacking in that line. It's similar to the t9, except a bit faster. But you never know what's going to happen to the planes next patch. By the time you get there it might have gotten a buff.

The 109g is probably my least favorite in that line, but that leads to the 209a which is a solid plane. I think the reason why I didn't like the 109g is that the 209 is so much better all around and I kept meeting it in battle.

The 109G is so underarmed for its tier it's not funny...I had it for 3 years and I rarely wanted to grind it.

That's the low point of the line...

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

The 109G was a beast, until for some strange reason, they removed the outboard cannon gondolas.

Since then, it's probably one of the weakest Tier 7s.

I actually sold mine, and retrained the pilot for the 209A.

(BTW, that's a 109G with the gondolas in my signature below.)

The 209A is a menace. Bf 109 G is personally my favorite plane in the game.

That change hit the F model too, although not as hard because it remains relatively competitive with light arms and it gained 13.2mm MGs to somewhat compensate.

Yeah, it was a beast until they removed the outboard gondolas. If I recall correctly they removed the gondolas with the 1.6 patch with the introduction of the multirole class if I am not mistaken.

Next Halloween, if you could anyway possible, needs a Evil Dead WOWP.  A 1973 Delta 88 Royale with twin jets, 4 Boomsticks on the hood, and Ash spouting one-liners.  I guarantee 5000 fans from his fan club would download WOWP the first day.  I kid you not.

Hell yeah, world of warships gets their Steven Segall captain and we get Bruce Campbell as a special pilot. This guy is going places.
