Now here is something that I may be loath to bring up, but just curious and as a base for the type of missions that are normally used for reward planes. ON the wiki (all hail the Wiki), there are several planes listed that are not yet in this game for purchase or otherwise. They are: US-Brewster F2A-1 Buffalo, Bell XP77, Curtis XF15c; UK North American Mustang 1A; Germany- Bloss 137-1, Me 210, USSR Pegasus. Could these be the basis for the type of missions that we have had recently for the La-11 and others? Just curious to see if should WG do this, who would be interested in what plane? Does it matter what tier? As for me, I wold be interested in all of them. Then Ghost could pass this up the chain and they can take it from there.

The planes you mention were either gift planes or rewards for testers, or we're rewards for particular mission events.

As far as I know, some of these have never been offered for sale, and there is absolutely no way to know if there are any plans to offer them at any time in the future.

As an aside, the difference between the Ha-137 and the Ha-137 V1, is in the engine, and is so miniscule as to make no difference.   I have never flown the F2A1, but I can't believe that it is too far removed from the F2A that is in the tech tree...Of course I could be wrong.

US-Brewster F2A-1 Buffalo: Purchasable during Open Beta and carried over to live. Armed like the typical interwar US plane (1 .30cal and 1 50cal) and tiered at 3...not a very good plane.

Bell XP77 : Closed Beta tester reward. At its crappiest now that cannons had been nerfed.

Curtis XF15: Not yet on sale but exists.

UK North American Mustang 1A: Given out via a mission several months ago.

Germany- Bloss 137: The V1 is available through in-game store. The plain Ha 137 was given through mission a year or two ago.

Me 210: Alpha tester reward. Only German plane to carry 500kg bomb.

USSR Pegasus: Open Beta tester reward. Fun fact: This used to be a tier 1, but bumped up to 2 and given ordnance selection of 9 rockets or 2 bombs.

...some of these could theoretically be sold in premium shop at this point,  It had been a long while since then...

All of us participating in open beta were offered to BUY it just before game went live along with pegasus as a open beta testers revard.

If they are all added together there would be almost as many

premium aircraft in the game as their tech tree counterparts.

It's  deceptive looking at the tech tree how many planes wowp's

actually has.  When I have a spare hour I may count all mine:)

You missed at least one. Hawk III: Tier II Nationalist Chinese MRF. I believe it was a gift for the 1st anniversary after release. Have never seen it offered for sale all these years.

I-15bis DM-2: 15th WG anniversary gift. De facto beta plane because it happened in late Closed Beta of WoWP. Survives both CBT to OBT and OBT to Live wipes.

Actually 20th, these are the ones from the Wiki that are not in the game. The Hawk III has been sold before because I bought one. The F2A-1 could be an upgraded F2A similar as to the Model81-A1 is an upgraded P40. I would have to go and see what the Wiki says as they listed both planes.

Gerr: The F2A and the Ha137 are but if you go to the Wiki you will find there is the same aircraft but listed a two different variants: F2A Ha137. Like Warchylde stated the 137-1 uses a different engine than the Ha137. No you are thinking of the Me410 as the Me 210 is not there unless one of the old hands have one but I have not seen one in game.

Yes it is the Hawk III for have just checked. I believe that it was sold in the Premium shop as part of a packet the way in which the XP50 and XP58 were sold with the XP31. Yes Dave the ones listed are the premiums not in game because I have the same number of premiums as you, basically every one of them that were sold in the shop because they were reasonably priced compared to the other games and the ones you could get in the tech tree that were available for gold. There was talk of the Pegasus being a mission reward, like the Di6i and S510,  but think that fell through. WG seems to sell these planes for those who had the game installed but not played when it first came out as I only got into the beta with 20 games when I started playing but got back in after the bot thing which I missed all those trinkets. The other one I did not list was the saucer that you got for the snowball fight a couple of years ago. Yes the Mustang 1A was like the Chinese Mosquito26 was a while back. Will have to start using the prems for the daily missions and the tech trees for anniversary missions as I have a lot coming up. Seems the only way to play them lately.

The F2A-1 is a downgrade for the regular buffalo. It is a t3 premium. I have only seen one in game once. No one should currently have the UFO from april fools day and the winter snowball event. They took them out when the event ended. Ive seen a few 210's in game, very few and far between.

The F2A-1 seems to be used about as much as the M.20 and the Boomerang. You see them in games but they are usually bots. Seen a few played by humans but not many,

I have the F2A-1 and XP-77, I-15bis DM-2, Pegasus, and bought the one year package that included the XFL-1.  Don't have the ME 210, but have seen it occasionally through the years, especially within the first year of release.

Guess I missed the boat on that one. Was playing WoT for first three years and this was downloaded at the time of inception but just let it sit but I did manage to get the I-15bisDM as I just started playing on and off about 20 games before it went live, then went to WoWs.

The F2A-1 is the F2F using the F2A chassis...it keeps you alive but not killing.

...and I still got both Sleipnir and Odin's pilots. They are my resident German premium plane pilots now...won't retrain them ever.
