Yes

Ki-94-I  -  Another Japanese design that never made it past a wooden mock up.

La-9RD  -  Take an la-9 remove 2 of 4 cannons & slap a couple of unreliable pulsejet engines under the wings. This gave the plane an extra 45 mph top speed but it came with unwanted side-effects such as severe vibration & made it a dog to fly. Only a handful were made & tested before the project was scrapped.

So what you are saying is that these planes were either fake, or were terrible in real life. But doesn't that always mean that they will be super OP in the game?

The planes will always be OP when Wargaming first issues them out.

It is a bait and switch tactic to get people to purchase premium planes.

Then with each following patch it will be overtly/ covertly nerfed to balance towards game play.

It is the one reason I stopped purchasing premium planes.

You do not get what you paid for.

If you have read the EULA, you will discover they have every right to change the planes.

You only purchase the right to fly, not the right of ownership.

Well, that one biggest-ever nerf that spans the past and the future makes non-free premium planes done deal...

Expect annual tier 8 premium giveaways from WoWP...

Where do you think I got the images I used in the opening post? Really Gouldy, going full circle logic was what you thought best in your reply? It's like you guys are in some kind of vacuum over here in WOWP.

In the other games there are leaked web sites, developer contacts, leaded info on wows facebook, etc. But here, just a complete mystery about anything. It's like the game only has 2 people working for it, a 3D modeler and community manager / website updater. Honestly, I guess even I didn't realize just how dead this games development really is until just now.

The La-9 with ramjets is a relic from the days past...refurbished to annoy the money in the players' wallets or perhaps give away for free...while the Ki-94-1 is the first-ever Japanese HF.

Hell...the warplanes page is already updated with their stats.

Disclaimer: Paper stats of aircraft do not always coincide with actual performance in game.

Speaking of paper vs in-game performance, I'd be curious to see how an Attacker fares against an F-94.

The f-94 is well suited for playing a supporting role & is great for when you need to run away the only way the f-94 beats the attacker is with help.

So you have more experience than I do. What do you think of the stats? They seem like decent planes from what I can tell, not best of class for their role, but certainly not the worst either. Ki-94 looks like it will be very decent considering average or above stats but a lot more firepower. La-9rd seems like a very good heavy fighter chaser. They both seem to be decent boom and zoom planes. What am I missing?

These are "gift" planes meaning you can't buy them in the premium shop - you have to play the missions to earn them - just like the recent ones. But yes, a $50 premium plane is not really worth it. Might have fun in it, but it won't pull up your win rate for sure.

they might be gift planes for now, but later on, they will probably sell them like they've done to many of the gift planes.

Already announced: "Both Premium planes are "Gift Planes," meaning they're not in the Shop for pickup, though they’ll be available to all players later."

2x 37s and 2x 30s... on a T7. This plane will be interesting. Seems to me like an uptiered A6M3 exp... except probably without the turning.

The (not so) amazing Chokai is back! And he's hit all his personal goals sans one! Seriously though, nice to be back, looks like he game is improving. I continue to try to recruit new people.
