The pilots!

On April 26, from 3:30 to 5:30 (MSK), the game server will be unavailable due to the release of the 1.9.9.2 client-server update (the SD version is 29.5 MB, the HD version is 21.9 MB).

 

Description of the update
===
In the update 1.9.9.2 in the game will be added two new gift planes of the VII level. The Soviet fighter LaVochkin La-9RD combines a piston and a pair of jet engines under the wings, which significantly increases the speed and altitude characteristics of the machine and allows it to play it more aggressively than on conventional fighters of the Lavochkin family. The Japanese heavy fighter Tachikawa Ki-94-I is a typical representative of Japan's unique aircraft building school. Tandem motors located in the front and rear parts of the fuselage immediately attract attention, and the battery of large-caliber guns make the Ki-94-I extremely dangerous for fragile fighters and for surviving assault planes.

 

New aircraft

Added gift airplanes:

Lavochkin La-9RD - USSR, fighter, VII level;
Tachikawa Ki-94-I - Japan, heavy fighter VII level.

Error correction
===
Fixed the display of the texture of German helmets on Japanese pilots of the VII-X planes.
Fixed a bug with displaying the pilot of the XFL-1.
Fixed a bug due to which in some cases it was impossible to demobilize the crew of the aircraft.

We are getting closer to that magical 2.0 number for update releases   I thought I would let you guys know. We shall see if this comes our way later this week.

Currently I can choose between 157 planes in my hangar but when I drop into a battle I see the same 4 or 5 maps over and over again. One or two planes more cannot change this monotony. Are there new maps in version 2.0 ?

True and although more planes are always good more maps would be good too or at least make it more random because i hardly ever see asian border and canyon which is a great map but I think I may have seen it once in the last 6-8 months thats it once and while were on maps how about bringing back the old national park map just rename it or something it was an awesome map.

Don't really understand the new map interest.  I guess I could see it if you fly GA a lot.  My opinion is GA is mostly useless in the current game mode though.  Also in the current game mode, the team that gains the altitude advantage "usually" wins.  That being said, at altitude is the same for every map new and old, unless you count the different cloud formations.

Your point is absolutely valid, the majority of battles are won from the top down. It would be nice however to see some additional battlefields. If for no other reason than the knowledge that they are still working on the game. What's it been...two years?

If not fixing the glaring bugs or end game content, they could at least release new maps every 3 months.  Jeesh.

and yet again i feel compelled to point out: 1.10 comes after 1.9.

 

2.0 does not automatically come after 1.9 in any way shape or form in any part of the software industry (it might, but only purely by coincidence)

 

1.11 comes after 1.10, etc.

 

2.0 could come after 1.6 (but it didn't for WoWP), 1.9.77658546.2 or after 1.567.54.

 

we are no closer to 2.0 than we have ever been at any other release number.

Well new maps would be nice.  I just encountered Fortress the other day and spent the first part of the game flying around and looking at stuff before I got down to business.
