Everyone remembers that first love whether it's a real vehicle a lady(or man), or an in-game plane.

I remember the first time I flew the I-16(l) in game. I instantly fell in love with that little aircraft. Back then it was a little different. It had a  Synchronised 1x12.7mm Gun on it. Its a little slow, but still a beast at its tier. I don't fly it as much as I used to, never quite acquired that 5th star on it. 

 

What was the first vehicle in WoWP that you fell in love with?

I too was (is) an I-16(l) lover from the first time I flew the plane.

I-15DM-2. The long-time comrade that survived wipes and helped out with money farming in the initial stage. Used to be quite powerful, but not anymore, especially compared to the I-5 ShKAS tier-for-tier and in the new age of bots.

 

It's all sentimental value for this one...the black paint and the eternal 15th emblem...

The 262 , way back in beta they made changes to the lines and for some reason i logged in to find one in my hanger. It was like the clouds parted and i could hear angels singing Hallelujah. The game just clicked and i all of the sudden understood the angles of the game.  Stopped playing much of the havies at release cuz i just played it soo much.

The P-40. What an aircraft. Used to have it all before they took it's rockets away.

 

First time I got one in closed beta I basically swooned at the massive jutting forward engine cowling, the sleek integrated cockpit and the raked tail-dragger look. It's still the most fun plane in my hangar, and has a win rate to prove it.

P-36. Early in the game it was all I expected from the plane: combination of durability, sustained and devastating fire power, speed, turn when you need to fight bf-s, or it was me in love with it.

I was a huge fan of the Bulldog for the longest time, and the F4U1 Corsair has been one of my favorite planes ever since I was a kid. The Attacker is quickly growing on me, but pound for pound, my biggest love just has to be the F3F. It can outfly practically everything in Tier II to IV, and it has taken down a fair share of Tier Vs in it's day.  Hands down, one of the sweetest planes in the game, and it's my go to plane when I just want to fly for fun.

Lockheed XP-58 Chain Lightning when it was first released.  It was absolutely crushing for the competition.  I could outclimb Tier 9 F2Hs, head on with them and take them out before they could even scratch my paint.  Now after it has been beaten absolutely senseless with the nerf bat, it is still fun to pop planes, but you need to be a lot more careful.

 

I was the first person to reach 1000 battles in it.  It was and still is a money-printer.

The XFL  back in closed beta, when ammo could run out. You had to really pay attention to when you pulled the trigger, (I think you had about 35 rounds only for that 37mm cannon) but one hit was a kill. Sooo disappointing what WG has done to that gorgeous plane.
