Tex,

You're on the wrong side of this argument once again. There are more players here who like ILs better than they like you. You probably aren't going to come out on top here.

Jus' sayin'

not trying to come out on top.....actually could care less if they like me, I know that Thor likes me....and I know the IL is liked because it gives the less advantaged player the opportunity to compete.....I just want those that brag about it, to know why they win in an OP plane.....that's all it has ever been !!!!

With the way that damage works in WT, it is module based, it is actually possible to be shot up like that if the enemy never hits a module.

if you need help unraveling the large balls of monofilament you got from snagging salmon... let me know

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

I like all my il's but if a junkers 88 gets you in it's sights your gonna last about 1.5 seconds.

3 shots for an ilt-2,two sometimes if your close enough.

Well, of course I meant one game, or in your case, one sortie.   You look it up, or will it cut into your making fiction video's time?

Stanley "Swede" Vejtasa is another and before that he fought three (!!!) Zeros with a SBD Dauntless and won.

Edit: It seems it takes skill.

With no fighter support an il is a sitting duck, not hard to find them on the two rich target areas on a map.

Sometimes you gotta dive down low to see them.

It takes no skill to kill an IL ;)

In fact, escorting, hunting and killing GA's is the only reason I still log in from time to time.

I don't know how on earth you would know this....but I snagged hundreds of silver salmon in Alaska by rod and reel when they were'nt biting on the Kenai River and the Swanson River at the Kenai National  Moose Preserve.......  32 miles from the nearest paved road.....I fished for 3 solid months then rougnecked on a drilling rig there.  I was just out of college and wild as one could get.

And yes I used a Garcia Ambassador open faced reel with a 7 foot rod that would unravel from time to time if you got too anxious.  Are you stalking me as well ?

32 miles from a paved road?

My last gig in Nunavut was 1200 miles from any road.

I think we cold have an interesting few beers together.

You worked in Alaska as a roughneck?

I bet your winrate did not matter up there.

thanks for the tip about new drag washers......I wore out the 5000's later fishing off Mexico and CA.  After 40 years, the last 5000 reel just fell apart recently.   I have one mitchell 300 left and would like to save it but in working condition.   I had to change out the treble hooks and put on bigger and stronger hooks on the spoons......or the silvers would bend them all up !!!

Good luck fishing......
