Finally got my Dash One out of hock, rescued my pilot from the retirement home, and flew it for the 1st time in over a year and a half.  Some things you just don't forget.

I missed my baby, almost forgot how much I love flying that plane.:playing:

I had a bit of trouble from a pesky BnZ  XP-50, so had to do some quick thinking in order to turn the tables. :B

Hope y'all enjoy the ride.

Nice one as always. That XP-50 had the bot only unlimited boost upgrade.

I used to have a handle on life until it broke off.

Good Video, but you could really use a better frame rate.

Warchylde plays on somewhat lower settings but maxes them out when he records from the replay.

I play on medium graphics settings and run about 35 fps average (I can get to 45 avg if I run low graphics).

When I record replays, I set the graphics to very high (I run the HD client), to get the best visuals I can for my videos.

The 5-9 FPS you see in the videos, reflects the very high HD graphics setting in the client during the replay.

What really hurts, is when I log in to fly the next day, jump into my Banshee or Attacker, and fight Tier Xs, WITHOUT resetting my graphics.

As you can imagine, this usually ends in tears, then I have one of those "DOH!" moments and a few other expletives where I curse my own stupidity), and then reset my graphics to playable levels.

What doesn't hurt nearly as much, but is equally frustrating, is when I forget to set the very high graphics before recording, choreographing, splicing, editing, adding effects, and syncing up a soundtrack... only to review the finished product and see poor quality, blurry graphics on a video that I just spent anywhere from 3-5 hours working on. :(

I miss the un-nerfed F4U-1, the 6 .50 version now has no advantage over the 20mm armed F4U-1C.

IRL the .50 version was lighter than the 20mm version.

This resulted in the cannon armed variant being slightly less maneuverable (slower acceleration, climb and turn rate and lower top speed)

DICTA BOELCKE for WoWP
    1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
    2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
    3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
    4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
    5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
    6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
    7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
    8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent
