Picked this treasure up yesterday and a card came with the piece that says:

"The aircraft carries the caricature eagle badge of No 71 "Eagle" Squadron. The aircraft was flown by Pilot Officer W R (Bill) Dunn, who in August 1941 became the first American to make Ace during World War Two. His first three victories were scored in Hurricanes, the first two in the aircraft depicted by this model. The Squadron was then converted to Spitfires and Dunn's final two victories to take him to Ace were scored in Spitfires."

-------------

“I jammed the throttle wide open and, attacking the Me-109 from the port quarter, fired one burst of four seconds and three bursts of two seconds each,” Pilot Officer William R. Dunn of No. 71 (Eagle) Squadron, Royal Air Force, said of the encounter with the first German aircraft he shot down. “At about 50 yards … I could see my machine gun bullets striking all over the German’s fuselage and wingroot. Then he began to smoke.”

It was manufactured in 2004 and was still in its sealed container; I got it very cheap. A clan mate pointed this item out and I grabbed it. Apparently these models are hot items and highly collectable. The company is still in business today, however this model is no longer available by them, but I know where another is. If Interested just send PM.
