I don't know if Wargaming wants to save this game, but there are some very basic issues that need to be addressed if they do.  They've added a lot of wacky game mechanics in an attempt to fix issues caused by these problems, some of which have been there since day 1.

Basic Issues:

Spawnpoint Placement:  There are two ways you can place initial spawn points in a videogame.  Since WoWp is ironman, you don't have to worry about spawn protection or anything like that.

Option 1: Spawn the entire  team together.  Let them decide how they will organize, and divide up accordingly. This is the most common.  Orginally, this is how spawning in WoWp and you had large airbattles.
Option 2: Have multiple spawn points, and let each player/squadleader select the spawnpointt  You see this in "Battlefield" and "Heroes & Generals"

What WG did:  Due to complaints of planes crashing into each other, WG divided maps into 3 spawn points of 5 planes each. Now they need to regroup, so they can't be destroyed piecemeal. But the way the spawns work now it would indicate that the game is meant to be played as 3 x 5v5 battles.  I see folks complaining about flights being OP, but that is largely caused by the dispersed spawning zones.

Game Mode: Let's just say overly complex. To be brutally honest it is the worst game mode I have ever seen in any shooter. You should have gone with something simple like each team attacks the enemy carrier/battleship/ammo dump/gun battery etc etc etc whilie defending their own. So now like in WoT you have teams dividing themselves into attack and defend elements, and leads to player created fun. This would also foster the rock/scissors/paper you said you originally wanted in the game.

Map Design/Objectives: This is closely tied in with Game Mode. Objectives should concentrate gameplay, and relative low value of each target, along with how they are scattered across both sides of the map disperses it.

So these 3 things combine to create basically a game within and game.  LF and HF play TDM, while GA fly around by themselves destroying ground targets.

Team collisions killed the game for me.

I quit because of them.

A well played flight win battles because they stall out the players and bots, then use team work and then clear each others sixes.

Not because the team spawned wrong.....

interesting.

You are still under the impression that there are 3 things that need fixed due to being broken.

We are out of Alpha and have come out of Beta to LIVE.

In fact we are up to 1.9 something or other patch.

This game has been 5 years in the making.

You could always apply to WG and gain employment. It is the best way to " FIX " what is " Broken ".

I am sure you are very qualified for any of the positions available.

What WG did:  Due to complaints of planes crashing      ******* not such as one may think for many  systems this was a ease on the rezzing to get into the game and reduce  lag on entering the battle

*************************************well in a way its based on facts you can seem to be losing a battle  in numbers but reduce the enemies  will and resources to fight and gain a win , it. there has been in the works from late alpha a plan (so they say) to have escort missions / intercept bombers missions.

Map Design/Objectives: This is closely tied in with Game Mode. Objectives should concentrate game play, and relative low value of each target, along with how they are scattered across both sides of the map disperses

************************************the first concept for the game was to have short lived battles that even a very casual player could play and get a lot done.

this can go along with a planned posting in the forums I and thinking about " what caused the downfall ,or reduction in player numbers  you top threes reasons in your opinion .

any ideas should be welcome here in the forum as any input is better then no input.

Actually,  l have to say.....

Map design is awesome. Coming from WoT,  there are many maps that are absolute stinkers and lead to camp stalemates or ambushing.

0ut of all the things to complain about, more than 3,  maps aren't a problem. Never even crossed my mind.

Except for that Dam map, that one deserves to have whatever happened to the original National Park map happen to it.

Personally I like the Dam map, especially in an agile fighter.

It looks to me like they followed these ideas in 2.0
