Please read this and give us some input on the idea.

Annotated notes:

Updated 1-23-2017

  • Embed better ground/track markings
  • The results of the Poll
  • Interest from pilots is there
  • pilots per race 4 thru 10
  • Dual time zone racing
  • No teams, Its every wo/man for themselves
  • Start up of end of Feb to early March is a go

Here is the idea so far.

  1. Pilots that want to compete will go to the NACCW.ORG website and sign up. (I still need to update the website so just look around if you want to)
  2. I am leaning towards 10 races at once, hence the 10 open moderator staff positions, Also, with over 130 territories this will take about 8 to 10 days of racing.
  3. A territory (or 2 or 3) are chosen for each one of the above 10 races
  4. A map with the race elements embedded into it will be chosen for each of the 10 races
  5. At the designated start time, the racers (Between 8 and 30 in each race) will haul a@@ and try to win by following the laid out race track
  6. There will be rules set forth for the race, and all races will use the same rules
  7. Things like maximum altitude, start times, start positions, etc will be adhered to by all, or be disqualified that race
  8. We will also post a listing of legal aircraft that can be used in each race
  9. Whoever wins the race, claims the territory
  10. These races will continue until every territory is claimed by whomever wins the races
  11. The prizes will be distributed according to who owns the most territories
  12. End

So far this is what we have

Season #2 -- The return of the Grand Prix races

Updated 1-20-2017
This concerns season 2 of the NACCW.ORG and World of Warplanes by WarGaming.

As we all know season 1 ended not in total despair, but with many pilots wanting to relive it again.  It took awhile to get organized, rules set, battles done, scores added and prizes paid out.

But it was a blast, and it did in fact work out well in the end. The website is paid for until July of 2017, and we need to utilize it somehow.

After my brief (2 months almost) battle with butt hole problems and surgeries, my upper staff at Team Special Forces had an idea.  Make some more race maps like the ones that were used in the Sand Cup Grand Prix races and have some fun with the NACCW.ORG website.

Of the 3 maps produced by WarGaming, 2 of the original maps still survive and work with the new game updates, Also, A member of [SF] has created 2 more maps.  There are now 4 in total, and the new ones are a spectacle to be seen, simply perfect.

As many of you know, and more are sure to find out, there are over 130 territories on the NACCW.ORG clan battle map, from the top of Canada down to the bottom of Mexico

Frankly the timing and layout of the air battles during season 1 can be improved upon.  But we will leave that to another time. The plan that is being looked at now is a fun one, it can involve clans or loner pilots, and will progress much more rapidly than season 1.

The suggestion has been brought up to use the map as a placeholder for more Grand Prix Races.

The first grand prix race was called the "Sand Cup" and the second one (never happened) was to be called the "Wood Cup" races.  These races were a tremendous success as viewed by many pilots.

They depend totally on pilot skill at low altitude, and frankly, there are some clans that are so good at high altitude flying, they cannot be beaten. You know who you are :)

So, in an effort to enlist as many players as possible, and include seasoned as well as new pilots Season 2 of the NACCW will be dedicated to "Low Altitude Skills" and "Up-Close and personal maneuvering skills"

which by the way can be very exciting at times.

During these races anyone can enlist and compete without the fear of being wiped off of the face of the map, and loosing it all in a single battle night.

⦁    We have 4 maps in total made by WarGaming and [SF] and more are on the way
⦁    Race maps will be made available for easy download and install on the NACCW site
⦁    Competitors win a territory by coming in 1st place during a race, the awarded territory remains fixed and cannot be changed or attacked

⦁    2nd and 3rd place earnings (Per Race) are an unknown at this time, but will be there
⦁    The map "Sectors" can open and close, or be ignored altogether
⦁    The NACCW.ORG Dbase system can handle 10,000+ pilots
⦁    Races are to be held during two time zones, West Coast and East Coast
⦁    Pilots can race during one or both time zone races
⦁    Ties decided by sudden death air battle
⦁    Whichever teams (or loners) gather up the most territories win in the end
⦁    Prizes will be Pre-Determined (Wow was that a hassle in the end of season 1)
⦁    Races are held without pilots flighted up "Every Man For Him/Herself Style"
⦁    No weapons firing, this is about speed and agility
⦁    Crashes are just that, a crash, your out of that race, But can still compete later
⦁    How many pilots per race are an unknown at the moment
⦁    Race observation officials will moderate
⦁    Live Streaming of the races will be Embeded into the NACCW.ORG website
⦁    There are at this time 10 open race moderator slots needing to be filled
⦁    We have plenty of ADMIN personnel at this time

Now all that i need is input from you, the pilots.  Lets make this work.
If you want to help moderate the races, send me a PM.

PK... an event within an event is kind of cool, I'm interested to see how this plays out.

When are you looking to start up your second season?  I am looking to start a tournament at the beginning of February, with battle nights on Thursdays and Saturdays.  This was to have something to do between the end of CCW 1 and the start of CCW 2.

Here is my info, if you havnt already seen it. http://forum.worldof...a-registration/ and http://forum.worldof...al-roster-page/

Sounds about perfect to keep things rolling and fun for the community.

Lets see about setting the startup for this event about 1 week after yours ends.

Should work out, almost like it was planned :coin:

Ahhh, yeah... of course ramming is part of the magic formula... and the whining and crying afterwords will be epic!

I'll be a blocker or pivot... Oh Yeah!

BTW... Roller Derby Queens will kick Clown Girlz around like Nixon's soccer ballz.

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

  12. End

As far as the actual race maps go, Here is a video from the original "Sand Cup Races" so you get a feel for it.

I visited the site the link provided and registered, so now I'm a member?, I guess.  I took time to look around, but I see nothing on there pertaining to the air races, or anything really.  I signed up for the news letter.  Is that how we will be informed about the racing to-do's?
