I have paid the experience points for the upgrade to the IL-40P from the IL-40, but I have some questions before I purchase it for the 6 million silver.

1) Is it that different from the IL-40?

2) Should I transfer my crew from the IL-40 to the IL-40P?

3) Should I just stay with the IL-40 and save the 6 million silver for something else.

Any insights you gentlemen may have that pertain will be appreciated.

40P is less maneuverable... but hits harder and a bit faster, more HP... I would keep your crew wherever you think you will play more.

On paper not much difference, rockets and bombs are the same.

                 IL-40                                 IL-40P

HP            2420                                 3025*

FP            1102*                                1089

AS            585                                    623*

Man         133*                                   131

AP           1804                                  1969*

A IL-40 can pull its own weight in tier 10 and do well in t9 or t8.

I always flip a coin at this point, and get them both. lol <O

My favourite GAA is IL-10. But second favourire is IL-40. Altho IL-40p is a top tier GAA I prefer IL-40 when we compare both, and it has been flown more than IL-40p. As zigfreid said, it is up to you. If you have silver to spend and nothing other is near to the end (tier 10), then do it. But if you have some other in plan and to research soon kep the silver. You can perform very good with IL-40 at a tier 10 batle. But also exeptional with tier down.

The crew-keep them in the plane you will fly more.

The 40P guarantees that you will have suitable firepower against tier 10 targets...

I made the move to 40P and I'm quite pleased with its performance.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

Advise to only purchase high tier planes when they come on sale.

A friendly reminder, when purchasing a tier X don't forget to check accelerate crew button.
