To anyone interested or involved,

Season #2 for the NACCW clan wars is coming soon.

We are hoping to start the new season around new years.

Last season went ok, just ok.  We have fixed the needs, and WarGaming is pledging support.

Please let us know what you want.

NACCW.ORG website

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Clear definition of the length of the season -- 12 week season with a 4 to 6 week layover is planned now
  • Simple point system -- Thank god
  • Clans ability to track scores -- Easy enough
  • Detailed list of prizes -- Ok, tough area, but so far with 6 clans making it 12 weeks, total of 45 premiums and 222 players, or about 20% got a plane.
  • Start after new years -- This is a given, I was leaning towards starting the 9th, or the 2nd monday after new years, giving us 8 days.
  • Additional Admin members -- If we give every team 1 seat at the admin table,Things can get messy with to many.  Set a Max Admin slots and the Webmaster slots, I dunno
    • Teams that partook in Season 1 all get a seat automatically like
    • Teams that can support a smooth 4 to 6 battles a week, every week, continually
    • A Conglomerate team (Multiple Clans) gets 1, not multiple
  • Finances -- The WebSite is paid for thru July of 2017, We also have an ADMIN@NACCW.ORG Email with a 30 gig Google Drive Thru Aug 2017
  • Website Webmaster slots -- needed to take turns updating things
  • Rabid squirrel hunters, that are themselves rabid are needed to troll

What WarGaming paid out for season 1

Total silver given by wargaming -- 160,500,000 divided between 214 pilots

Planes given out -- 45 total premiums @ 15 Tier VIII, 15 Tier V, And 15 Tier III

Season 1 Spreadsheets for winners

I want you to know , Thank you for your effort! :honoring:

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

PK,

Some things I noticed:

  • Clearly define the length of a season, 6 weeks, 12 weeks etc.
  • I would advise a change to your point system, to something simple, I do undertand the wights for attacks and defenses, however you should consider that Clans would also like to be able to keep track of their own points as well as other clans points to ensure accuracy.  I would just keep it simple so that at the end of each week you simply count the number of territories a clan owns, and then rank the clans from first to last, and distribute points that way.  It would be fairly easy to calculate (less work for you), as well as Clans to keep track.
  • If WG has pledged support, have them detail their prizing before the event starts, or start the even assuming it is just for fun and no prizing is available.

Those are the major things I saw, from what I understand things went smoothly.

WRT prizing, in addition to what is awarded, it should also include quantities. By that I mean will it be provided to all clan members, or just a subset of players (e.g. 15)?

Good News PK.....I suggest have a meeting with admins and clan leaders a few weeks ahead of time so we can help you in any manner to iron out the bugs. A very simple suggestion, I would start after Jan.1 so that many do not have to juggle the holiday season with this. <o

Right on, and not a problem.

PK, I had my doubts that this would work out, but I saw that WG actually paid out prizing! That is an unmitigated success in my book, even if the event was horrible, which it wasn't!

Well done sir. Good luck managing this bunch of rabid squirbels on the next round as well!

I have purchased Rabid squirrel hunters, that are themselves rabid. :hiding:

What is status of Clan Wars?

Do we have time for another tournament before CW starts?

Can you take out the rule that prohibits planes that are not in the tech tree?  I think if you have one of these special planes or gift planes you should be able to use them as long as it doesn't violate the team makeup rules.
