Notes please?

Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

I would like a nice bunch of lettuce... I hope it's good.

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Yes there is. There is a fall event celebrating the third year called Airborne. You can get a new Soviet Tier III and if you are persistent a new French heavy tier VII. If you go to the website is a detail link in the first paragraph which will tell you everything that you need to know. It is about time that they brought out some new stuff. Getting tired of Steven Seagull with his "Where is my Missouri"?

New Gift Planes

A selection of new gift planes are being added:

  • Kocherigin Yatsenko CI-6i - Tier III Soviet Fighter
  • Arsenal VB 10 - Tier VII French Heavy Fighter
  • Bell P-39N-1 Airacobra - Tier VI US Fighter

  • Bell P-39N-1 Airacobra - Tier VI US Fighter ,how do we get it or in many cases get it back a the case of old  Alpha ,and Beta testers use to "fly them"?

That is a good question as it is the only one not listed. It may be a give me but only tomorrow will tell.  But if you read the Airborne event, the first one (Soviet Tier III) is yours if you complete the first part of the event and the tier VII French if you complete the additional mission. If they keep doing this where you have to earn new planes, rather being "gifted" them, that is a reason for playing. The first two I would call "earned gifts" whereas the last one may be an anniversary gift.

P-39 would be nice to have, I always thought it was kind of a wild step child of the american airforce. Hence it being adopted by the russians.

The P39 was unusual in that it had its engine mounted in the middle, thus creating a very stable but fragile platform. Many times, the structure of the wings couldn't stand the weight of the engine under strain and the wings just fell off. It was a good concept, nonetheless. I saw one many years ago, when an air show was mounted in a military base down in Guadalajara, Mexico. I used to have a picture of myself beside a P39 during that airshow. It was the Confederate Air Force, BTW. I remember one of the pilots, when looking at a Stearman, that if you rigged a Stearman correctly, you could rig any plane.

The CAF does a good job of preserving the aircraft and displaying them for those who want to "gawk and aah". They may see it in a game, but not in real life. Funny how the Americans who designed it did not like it and that it did so well in other countries that basically had to use what they were given. Kind of like the Jingles review of this game when he said he would never play it again. There is a review of the another MeTuber that went to town on a tank being released into WoT that was basically according to him ' a repackaged cash grab". Well so was the Venom and the Type 224 and so on in this game, but it did not matter to me since I wanted those planes, the cost was in my price range and that was the end of the story. We used to have an aircraft collection here at one of the airfields that they decommed and God only knows where they scattered it to when they sold off the land.

332nd flew them in combat as well as the Cactus Air force I believe. Never read or heard about "wings falling off"

http://www.militaryf...aircraft_id=140

read under production showing it was used as a dive bomber

OK where is the update? Has WG put it off for a bit because something was not ready? Did the painted T26E5 take precedence? Are they fixated on Steve the Seagull's new toy? Ghost have you heard anything?

"It's time for another update! We're adding two new French Premium warbirds, a special event, and new gift aircraft!"

Once again we are left in the lurch. No promised planes, no special event,  WoT players get their painted clank, meanwhile we are left in the cold wondering where our are "previously announced content" is.
