Thanks Ghost for looking into this.  My reasoning for the request is already stated several times by others above.

 

Not to be a total Richard, and to sort of play Devils Advocate, but "what specifically was WGs reasoning for replacing the older one with the newer one?"

/signed  Count me in.  I loved that board!  I used to love fighting down in the tight valleys.  It really took some skill to dogfight with someone and not end up turfing the valley floor, or spiking into a cliff side.  Yeah, I crashed a lot at first, but man what a fun one!  The size was good too.  Especially for smaller, slower stuff like the biplanes and early fighters.  It didn't take all day to get somewhere.

Dude this map totally sucks compared to what it used to be...whoever thinks its good is only trying to destroy the game

It is more the dislikes.

 

1) Widely split spawns with the GA's on the wings along with heavies and some times other planes. Human heavies depending on how they spawn can immediately knock out your teams GA's. Suggestion - spawn all but the GA's in the center spawn

2) It is extremely hard for the GA's to move from one part of the map to the other parts because of the high ridges. Yes there are some passes but they take the GA right through places where there are enemy planes and it takes an extreme amount of time to use them. Yes, there was a ridge you had to get across on the old map but it didn't require as much climbing to get across. GA's because of their high lift wings could climb extremely well to about 25,000 feet where their lack of turbo-superchargers started impacting their engine performance. Suggestion - increase non-boost climb for GA's at low and medium altitude.

signed......on the condition they make it tier 4 or higher. Remembered the tier 3 GA had a nightmare time getting up those hills if the had to dive away early on.
