ArrowZ, client side is on by default. Unless he turned it off, it should be on.

stop flying GA.

GA are for experienced pilots only, even in low tiers.

He's right, though. There aren't that many GA pilots who actually know what they are doing. Scoff away Bandet, it's true.

Bandet assumes that since he kills all GA in his heavies they are all bad.

You don't need to actually know what you are doing to play a GA, so to tell people to not play GA unless they actually know what they are doing is an oxymoron.

You do not need to know what you are doing to play GA, but you need to know what you are doing to win in GA.*

*this is of course no longer true now that we have bots in game. All you have to do now is kill enemy GA, then fly low and all the bots crash into mountains.

Well I did never see a Veteran GA bot, just Soldier.

The difference between an excellent GA pilot and a clueless GA pilot is night and day. Anti-GA bias blinds some people to this and you just say "they are all the same".

It's actually easier to fight and win in a GA as you go up in tiers.

At least that's what I'm finding.

There's kind of a bell curve.

The Tier 1-3 are really great and you'll find yourself racking up aces if you think through what you are about to do and during the fight, not fixate on killing that one plane but rather shooting at pretty much every plane that crosses your front.

Tier 4 through 6 is a bit tough.

Then 7 becomes less of a drag, and 8 and 9 are positively fun.

In fact since most of the folks you fight in 9 are jets, their behavior tends to be easier to predict and counter when you are in a GA.

DICTA BOELCKE for WoWP
    1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
    2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
    3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
    4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
    5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
    6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
    7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
    8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent
