I have to disagree. I always drop my bombs first to lighten the load and increase maneoverability. For battling fighters or other GAs at the end of the battle.

That's why you don't have that many bomb kills porkins.

Wait, dropping your bombs actually makes your aircraft more maneuverable?

In the end winning matches comes down to being able to kill enemy planes, in the grand scheme of things doing ground target damage isn't what is going to bring you the win. Sure you get suprem wins every once in a while flying a GA, but it is much more often that you are forced to battle it out with fighters in a kill or be killed situation. Back when I windowlicked I ALWAYS held on to 2 bombs until the very end in case I got into a situation where I had to go up against enemy planes.

agreed....you cannot leave yourself at the mercy of nerfed tailgunners and poorly programmed AA fire

IMO, bomb kill through tail had been nerfed and really only works with humans. To bomb a bot you need to do things differently.

...and 50kg blast doesn't do much, either.

When you get more bomb kills then me feel free to chime in with your helpful advice. I only started bombkilling a few months ago and have 1382 now.

I fly for fun,not stats, they are useless on a resume as this is a game.

I can't believe I'm about to defend chuck, but on principal it's hilarious to hear any WS member mock stats. Kills per battle are actually an extremely useless Stat by themselves. While overall stats at this point are the equivalent of comparing self satisfaction stats from brazzier subscriptions.

We're all satisfied at the end but we want to compare length and stamina without taking into consideration personal preference.

Not to mention most of Chucks stats are from his abacus rather than a real computer.

Not to mention his Quaker Oatmeal string attached internet he used.

At least I use a Scientific Calculator and telegraph system when I play.

One day I might upgrade to a real computer and internet like Chick did.

One day when I decide to stop being so friggin cheap.

Your lack of flying skill does NOT equate to me or anyone else 'hacking'. Go fly bots, or low tiers and practice.

Man,

I do play this game using a notebook without graph card, having 25FPS using very low graph specs, I can't see water and clouds and I barelly could see shapes, planes looks like a big polygon. My internet here in brazil is 2Mb and I play with a ping around 220ms using joystick. In fact I don't know why I was playing this game.. :bajan:

Environement (computer and realateds) is not the entire "guilt" for noone stats.

Stats means just one thing to me: we have some guys wanting to play inside the meta game boundaries and other guys really dosen't care about.

Mac,

LOL, why don't you get better paid job, right gear, move to a city and, please stop posting all those whinings here.

I don't think this is right place to share somebody's personal problems.

In fact I do have a very well paid job, I just don't want to use my computer as a gamer. I use them on my lab to develop machines. I need to use my money on my tools for my lab. So, just priorities.

I do live in a city, but it is too far from USA.

Im not even close to be whinning over here. Im telling blame computer instead blame you gameplay style is not the right thing to do. Im using crap thing and doing very decent. Imagine how many azz I would kick off if I were spending my money on it like "pro" players does... lol

I knew that you have to blame something for your performance, imo you r doing well. My believe was you .... Lol.

And, I had to check it before I donate you one of my laptops (2) or PC's. Glad you r ok, you don't need it.

Btw, my speed is 50 mb ( extra $5) and it is not related to my occasional gaming. LOL. Have life (only one), fun.

Correct.

The game was tweaked so that dropping your bombs and unloading your rockets returns your aircraft to it's  "clean" weight and restores you to your "clean" maneuvering and speed the way it would for IRL.

Helps out the MRF's a lot.

Now if they would allow us to hang bombs on the P-51's and A6M2's or let the F4U-1 have bombs and rockets at the same time....

Honestly though the F4U-1 did could not carry bombs or rockets, it was supposed to be a fighter interceptor, one of the 1st to hit 400mph.

The bomb mod was a field mod that USMC and USN aircraft mechanics fabricated after they were deployed to the Solomon Islands in the Pacific.

Vought took some of those kits and refined them and issued them to the F4U units as field kits.

DICTA BOELCKE for WoWP
    1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
    2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
    3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
    4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
    5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
    6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
    7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
    8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent

Very nice internet, I just have this on labs. Here in Brazil we don't have things like this.. :hiding:

Man, I never played this game this much to put my real life aside. Im playing this along 40 years and just now I do have 20 thousand battels. Iremeber vuuduu had it 6 months after public version.. That guy was crazy..

And tnx about you laptops, for sure I don't need it more then some people may very close to you. I would like to know you gave it to some needed people or some students. For sure they will like it a lot.

There is a lot of people needing for help a way more then me. Yestarday I watched a movie about an old man 84 years old in Africa and he went for school at first time. So much poor people around the world. I do my best about it, helping people and street animals.

Again, thank you for the care.

Regards,

Mack

No problem, the post I made was about bomb kills, not bullet kills and I will never match his numbers.

I dont try for those but I do have 1000 plus more rocket kills then him and probably more bomb kills.

They take a tad more skill then just a kill from a bullet would.

This is a long weekend in Canada and I will post a short video of how to get a bombkill because I cant believe some think it's hard, there is a trick and I will show it.

Anyone can shoot a plane down with guns and cannons, when he can do a full frontal air to air bomb kill then I would say he can tell me how to fly.:)

it does, as well as shooting your rockets. However if you are in a ga, you are pretty much never will be as maneuverable as fighters or multiroles, or most heavies (few exceptions). Don't drop your ordinance and expect you to be able to turn fight with fighters. If you are on a map with lots of features like mountains, or valleys, etc use those to your advantage to reduce the amount of time planes can shoot at you on each pass.

Step 1: Stop what you're doing.

Step 2: Hit ESC - > Return to hangar

Step 3: Go to settings -> Turn on Client Side Processing

Step 4: Pick said fast maneuvrable plane in hangar

Step 5: Hit Battle, wait for Que like idk 30mins if u want

Step 6: Enter Battle, after 30seconds point nose up -> full boost

Step 7: After you stall, regain speed and level out

Step 8: Proceed to red enemy mass -> Make sure you are higher than them

Step 9: Proceed to Boom N Zoom.

Step 10: Win. Or Lose. Up to you. If all else fails just ram a bot & try again.

Have fun & good hunting pilot!
