I sympathize with you Desmios.  Follow the above advice, Zapperguy has some great tips.

I would like to point out a few things.

Wargaming gives all the players chances to win planes by finishing missions, or by simply logging in and winning one match for the big events.

They have given out MANY tier2-3 planes.

We have birthdays for all our planes, and missions below tier 4 to complete for our tokens. They will never stop or limit players to play what tiers they want, Low tier play is actually encouraged through various game mechanics. It varies by reason ~ I go low tier to complete birthdays, and fly planes I like on occasion. That is a couple of the games mechanics.

Others go there for the easy kills and the stat boost. That's another mechanic.

Another thing that sometimes is overlooked, Our population is the smallest of the three warplanes servers, and we have some of the best players out of all three servers on ours, the NA server(per GL). So if you survive us, you will become good yourself!

Everyone goes through a learning curve with any game, this one is a bit steeper and taller than most. If you like it, stick it out. You came to the correct place for advice, the forums. Many player here will be happy to flight with you and help you out, just ask.

Good luck!

I feel for you Desmois, its a do or die game world out there. When i first started it was like putting a rabbit in a cage with a bunch of wolves, dont have a chance. If not stated already here's a few suggestions:

1- Just keep grinding the same plane to get the pilot upgrades to better the plane, dont worry about wins or loses that will come later.

2-Take your time up the plane trees dont rush it.

3-Just have fun, dont worry about getting shot down all the time, it will only make u a better pilot from learning the mistakes.

Peace out  :)

For a new player against an experienced one -- and for some reason many experienced pilots fly low tiers --- WoWp is a horrible experience.

It is hard to control without a joystick (+hard in general).  Then there are a TON of controls to know.  People don't know what half the stuff does anyway.  Bots are no fun to face.

Then to top that off, some veteran player comes in your T2/3/4 game and completely wrecks you before you do any damage.

This is not like other games where a new player can have a CHANCE against a veteran player; you just get absolutely 100% wrecked; no hope.

Controls -

Mouse to turn, A, D to roll, S to slow down, W to speed up.

Doesn't sound like a lot to me.

Stage 1; Complete incompetence (every single person went through it.)

Stage 2; First kill (Thank the deities you don't stink as much as you thought you did.)

Stage 3; Can't shake a player from your tail (Develop methods and look for strategies to do just that.)

Stage 4; Shot down three and shook two (Now you're feeling cocky)

Stage 5; Move up a level (Repeat stages 1-5)

*I'm at 7, a lot of these guys are at 9 and 10. take your time and grow with the game.

It's okay, it took me 8000 games in tanks just to get mediocre.

Finding that balance between aggressiveness and patience is hard. GouIdy seems to have a decent balance, but gang seems to be e light. Espresso is all patience, hence his mediocre Wn8.

There IS an issue with seal clubbing in T1 through T3. I see it. I'm not saying that experienced people shouldn't play the lower tiers. I go into T2 and T3 on occasion to work on mechanics if I have a few bad battles in upper tiers.  However, there are certain people that abuse it for the sake of stats. There are a couple of top 50 players that are extremely guilty of that. So, the OP does have a point.

The only advice I have is to use the training room. Set up some bot battles. You can 100% focus on your flying mechanics without worrying about other humans.

If you play the game as attended - Wargaming Designed the game and implemented its parameters, to play low tier is not a hack, a mod, or a cheat; the match maker works as designed; all of us are allowed to play whatever tier we want.

I personally believe there should be a competency test that rates common sense, Multi-tasking skills, and situational awareness acuity - I think Ignorant, clueless, stupid people should NOT be allowed to play this game until they are tested and ruled out as waste of Oxygen - BUT, the equality of your complaint is equal to mine no matter how we may differentiate.

In turn, Wargaming allows me to play tier 2 as, If I may -  A fairly decent player -  So, you’re allowed to be frustrated based on your opinion, just as I am allowed to be frustrated based on my opinion  -

Both points of view are just that, like the old saying goes; Opinions are like A-holes everyone has one.

Per Wargaming's Design both of us are permitted to play tier 2; it called free to play, or as I would like to deem it "It's free for anyone to play" and that Sir is plainly obvious and painful to endure.

In closing, all of us, good players or bad, we started GAME 1 with a record of - Wins 0 Losses 0; yes we were all new and as a new player I dealt with the mean old veteran players, but I as other veteran tenured players we sucked it up so should you, we didn’t cry about it, we strapped up our boot laces and went to work to get better!

So in my day growing up -  there was no time out card, or running to my mommy because mean Johnny the Bully picks on me -  You just have to reach down in your gut and grab some intestinal fortitude;  learn to endure, to improvise, adapt, and overcome.  When I hear someone sniffling about how Tier 2 is too difficult reminds of that nerdy kid in school who was too much of a coward to stand up for himself and punch Johnny square in the nose!

Stop being a victim and expect Wargaming to provide you with special accommodations, Here is the Special Server for the Special Players, as a added bonus - here’s a box of wet naps with Aloe; to wipe away the tears.

Until Wargaming designs their T-Ball version of a segregated server for pouters it’s unfortunate that new players have to endure the hard knocks as other new players before them, they have endured and achieved a competent comfort level with the game as a whole.

Regards,

That was WAY longer than it needed to be. Just say you disagree. I wasn't complaining either. I was sympathizing with the OP. When I play there, I'm the one doing the clubbing.

The other shooter games are even less new player friendly and their populations make WoT's look like the best in the industry and WoT has a toxic player base.

Hey buddy.. I like crew acceleration training with you. It's fun. However, if you're going to demand an IQ test in such a long drawn out spiel-- perhaps you should check your own grammar, punctuation, and spelling? There is an easy spell-checker in this forum.

Anyhow, keep on accelerating the crew. I may join you a time or two, it's fun. And, I don't mind making some of these guys mad. LOL. :hiding:
