I don't doubt your knowledge on this ... just leaves me scratching my head how my 32bit can run this game, and my 64bit cannot run it smoothly.

As always, hoping to upgrade both computers sometime soon, but for now, this is all I have to work with.

Thanks

We just explained its a 32bit game that gains some use from the 64bit platform so it used to run it but has probably suffered more and more patch to patch till it cant handle it anymore but the desktop while 64bit has a POS graphics card that was below minimum standard for this game when it launched..

According to the spec you listed, the laptop uses a NVIDIA® GeForce® 9650M GT, which actually is barely above the minimum requirements.  The desktop uses an older, less powerful card with technology that is now 9 years old.  32- and 64-bit is basically immaterial in a game that is GPU-constrained.

Again, it's fairly amazing that it runs the game at all now.

The 9650m GT is way faster of a GPU than the 8600 card your desktop has. Drop even a $30 gpu from newegg and it'll be 4-6 faster than that ancient GPU. I ran WoWP on a free computer I got which had an 8800 GT and that got 30 FPS solid.

Man I wanted to come in here and drop some sick AF knowledge up in da heezy, but everyone already beat the point home. Your laptop is better than your desktop, put the laptop on the desk, and plug the Ethernet cable into it, you'll be better off.

Well, better for this 32bit game, yes.  I've been getting back into counter-strike and day-of-defeat with the desktop.

If I get an urge for a flight game, I will do what you say, but will more than likely hdmi it into my main TV which is about 50"

thanks for the reply

Using HDMI to a TV will give you quite the delay in signal, HDMI is slow as it is, and your TV's refresh rate is already several ms behind. I'm not sure I'd recommend that if you want to be competitive, if you're just flying to see the sights, then go for it.

You could save whatever money you're thinking about spending on WoWp, and put it into a new graphics card, that's at least from this decade.

Well that's why I said every time you think "i could swing this $5 on WG." just add it to the "saving for my vid card" monies. Before you know it you'll have $100- $200 to go buy a decent video card that was built maybe 2 or 3 years ago, instead of 10. F2P games rack up cost real quick, and in small quantities that make it painless.

I've spent over $4000 on WG products, never more than $200 at a time.

I am scraping by, most literally.  Waiting on a court case to finalize then will be able to get some 'wants'.

I've never spent $1 on world of warplanes, can't.  Just free version thus far.
