The images I have found of the P-51D, a couple black and white photos and drawing, show a smaller map and name then the B model.

ah yes that musts be the one he drew on more quickly in a video interview he mentions drawing it quickly probably short on time he must have been referring to the D. (after his mustang B caught fire lol). on the bright side he got a D model out of it.

yes you do you just have not down loaded yet

http://www.getpaint.net/index.html

I use paint.net its free ,and I get good results, its what I used on these just make sure you save the original in a seprate file in case you want to go back to it , or mess up.

and they do have some SQD paint jobs in the game already,to include " The Blue Nosed B@#$^%&&"

but just generic ,nothing specific to a certain pilot.

I got the software you mentioned but I'm not sure how to use it lol

thanks, getting close to having my slate clear enough to take on another project, leaning towards the P-51B painted onto the P-51A at this point.

You mean Tarheel Hal? That was a long project to get right, spent over a month working on it in GIMP. I found several photos of the original plane including a color photo, so I worked from those instead of the plane that is currently flying in those markings.

I have another P-47 nearing completion, a Pacific Theater bird, I am going to need to try and find a spanish translator though to help me with the documentation. (Pacific War history buffs should be able to figure out the subject of this one with little effort)

I would love to use one of Hawkeye's skins but for some reason it will not show up when I log into my hangar. I drop it into the vehicle folder in the latest patch of the res-mod folder and nothing happens. I do download the folder for the USA markings  to remove the original markings but don't know where that goes. Maybe I'm missing something....but each time I try...I get no result.. I do use win 10 and it is all up to date.

Escuadrón Aéreo de Pelea 201, Aguilas Aztecas or "Aztec Eagles", Mexican Expeditionary Air Force.

Things have ground to a near halt though due to real life obligations.
