Is there such a thing as a good defeat?

Oh yes,and this is a good example of why I say Wins are  shared event , you did great but still lost. Your team failed of where vastly out classed. Then there is the just plane dumb luck factor too.

A good defeat...........it depends..........did you have Lexington_Museum on your side, or some other humans or where you the only human. It depends how the fight went, could the loss have been prevented ??

I play to win, did you stay too long over GT to get that thunder (not saying that you did) , did you help the fighters that were engaged low altitude (again not saying), it all depends. For that a replay is needed.

But you made silver and xp, but most important, did you have fun  (and that answer is yes I am sure) !

A good defeat ?

Based on what ?

Where you trying to make silver and XP ? then the question of winning or losing is invalid.

However if you would have won you would have made more credits and XP. WOULD YOU NOT ?

I personally do not believe in " good " defeats.

If I am playing for credits and XP or trying things out then the question about wining or losing is moot.

I don't think any defeat can be called good. Even if I do exceptionally well and shoot down almost the whole enemy team single handed, losing the battle means my team failed utterly in spite of my efforts. Hard to feel good about that.

Very true, If I am flying a GA plane and shoot down 4 planes then I feel my team failed, not me.

Opposite for me, I'm actually much more disappointed if it's a loss and I did well.

I don't know...how do you say to a GA pilot "you should have shot down 5 or 6 planes, not 4"?

I don't know what you did, but if a fighter is engaged with a bot (or both bots) it helps if you interfere , so just shoot at the enemy and then hopefully the friendly bot will have a shot a bit later, just interfere...........it helps.
