Have you ever noticed that when you fly a fighter inverted you gain speed at a higher rate.

Go ahead and give it a go in any match. Yes even above your altitude band.

Invert your plane 10 -20 degrees up watch the speed, watch the difference in speed gain while boosting too.

Some fighters you can climb at a 60 degrees inverted climb and gain more altitude faster while boosting.

Give it a go. Go ahead. I do not need to show video proof. You will soon see for yourself.

I have to laugh with every match I enter.

Now forgive me if I am wrong but is this not against the laws of aerodynamics.

reported for letting everybody know this game has a flaw.

I haven't tried it yet, but maybe I can bring my IL to 9000ft inverted like this ?

This has been repeatedly debunked over the years but just won't go away.  There's not some glitch that gives you a magical energy bonus for rolling.  It's just that rolling causes the same thing as nosing down a little, so you're just trading altitude or rate of climb for speed.

Rolling is an urban myth but this is something new, I will have to test it.

Yeah I am not speaking of rolling. I am speaking about flying inverted.

Yeah it works and I tried it again right now.

I did this time using MiG-9 upside down untill 15 degrees going from 2500 meters untill 3300 meters. But it dosen`t work when it becomes on up red zone altitude, in fact works but you need to decrease your climb rate.

I see it like a flaw.

Technically it is different, when you roll you are only inverted for a brief period, as compared to remaining inverted.

In either case altitude or rate of climb is sacrificed for speed.

No it is not.. cuz i was increasing altitude and speed just inverted.

Somebody should test this using two planes configured exactly the same. I suggest using planes with no equipment & 50% pilots with no skills, flying at the same time one inverted & one not.

The hard part will be starting with the same airspeed & angle of climb. It won't be me testing it because I don't really care one way or the other but I also suggest doing it several times to get

a good sample to make it worth while.

It's the same thing as climbing at a shallower angle while not inverted.

No

What he said was rate of climb, that's how many feet or meters you climb per second or per minute.

You're going faster going forward, but your climb rate, (ft/sec or m/sec) slows, your still climbing, just not as fast.

You get the same effect if you climb as a shallower angle of 20-30 deg vs 50 deg.

Sorry for posting that vid,it has been all over my FB timeline the last week and I got a laugh out of it.
