It was promised to us... please give it to us?

These are the primary reasons the population isn't rising.

Never happen in this lifetime and you know it.

Short of a corporate take over You and I will be dead before they institute any end content.

They gave it to us alright , just not end game stuff.

Another useless comment too.  And it might be easy to get confused with the way WGNA is now openly neglecting this community, but no one left you in charge of deciding what topics are worthy of discussion.

People have valid complaints about the ongoing lack of long promised features needed to get the game growing again. The only way they'll ever get noticed is to continue pointing it out and hope it finally gets noticed, which takes is its own kind of positive thinking.

You don't like those threads, stop reading them.

Bah at this point it is what it is. Threads on a forum aren't going to change anything.

Tell me you believe anyone at WG even reads or cares about this forum. Tell me you think they will take action based on what we type here.

The leader of the company has disavowed the game.

Play if it's still fun, stop if it's not, only sensible choices at this point.

So actually, even the "positive" thinking threads, the bragging threads and everything else is useless, right? The game has been in coma for so long and the only people who care about it are the hardcore players that still play this game for whatever reason and are trying to open the eyes of both WGNA and WG by posting suggestions, bugs, complaints, praises, etc. However, nothing is built only on praises, criticism is needed in order to see the errors, learn from them and correct them. If that criticism comes from people that know what they're talking about, it is constructive criticism, since these people want the game to be better. That's the spirit of Skywhale's post in particular and in general, of all the other great pilots that have voiced their disagreement on how WoWP has been managed from the start. Heck, even in update 1.0, three years ago, there was a problem with the in-game chat and the aiming reticle that were corrected four or five months later. At that time, WG did listen to us and even when they took their dear time to solve the issues, they delivered. They had the races tournament, some other tournaments going on and it looked quite promising. After the main issues were solved, everybody was happy until the arrival of 1.5. Something happened, because suddenly, WG gave up on WoWP. Then came 1.6 with its terrible MM. It's known history that we had to wait for over 45 minutes at times to get into battle. Nobody at WG listened, nobody except Gunlion, who pushed very hard so that we could have a workable MM with our population. What happened to him? He conveniently was moved to warships and then was thrown under the bus. We never heard from him again. WG kept destroying this game by not listening to its players, by not heeding their criticism of the game, which led to a lot of frustration. So yes, WoWP has been neglected because they only listen to "how fun this game is, no matter what" and not listening to posts like this. So, this thread is actually useful, but turn your blind eye to it, attack it, say it's useless, say it's negative, defend the game even with its terrible flaws. This is a sure path to destruction.

Maybe one thread is useful. Just on the off chance they might read it and decide to respond/act somehow.

20 threads a week with the same complaints and "give me end content!" and "where are Clan Wars?!" and other demands are tedious, tiresome, and useless.

I'd rather read a brag thread or watch a video or talk about aircraft.

Embracing failure and accepting defeatism doesn't work for everyone.  And if you keep embracing failure that's all you're going to keep seeing.

Forums are for discussion, and not just the opinions you want to keep seeing.

So I should start a new thread right now that says "Hey WG, please give us Clan Wars!"  ?

This would be a good use of bandwidth? Or would that be completely and utterly useless?

The trick is for everyone to make a thread demanding Clan Wars.

Then WG would get the message and create Clan Wars ASAP.

Yep. Number of useless, repetitive threads. That's the key!

So shilling for WG in every complaint thread in a game with longstanding, ongoing problems and castigating everyone with something critical to say is somehow less futile?  No matter how hard you try, you're not going to make the underlying problems that people complain about go away.

It's public forum, and as hopeless as it might be it's still the only way we have for someone to make his voice heard.  And if nothing else discussing it at least might provide the illusion that the developer might become aware, and that at least might keep people from permanently uninstalling in frustration.

I'd rather see frank discussion about complaints in the hope that they might someday get noticed than a community where anyone not spouting endless streams of glitter and rainbows when everyone knows there are big problems with the game gets mocked and berated by the self-appointed forum positivity hall monitors.

Speaking of self-appointed forum positivity hall monitors....

No one put you in charge of the forum.

The point is, there are endless threads pointing out problems and listing gripes. We don't need another.

No one is mocking and berating...but at some point enough is enough.
